Try to make him get some fluid, don't worry about the food.  Some water, or milk or even juice if you have to. 

I'd monitor him and if it persists go to the docs.  Sometimes these things can end as soon as they begin and we never know why!

Thanks every one for your comments. I just layed down with him for half an hour. He still woke up screaming, but he has just eaten a biscuit (typical to eat junk food hey!) so i am feeling a bit better. I will try to give him a bottle at lunch time and see how he goes.

Hopefully he wont need to go to the doctor, but if he gets worse i will go up just to make sure it is nothing serious.

aww Cass how frustrating for you . Maybe the poor little man is got a meanie teethie coming dont worry he wont starve . Try him with his bottle again later if he is teethig the colder the drink the better maybe put it in the freezer for 10 mins . I hope he is feeling better soon for both your sakes . Big hugs . if toddlers are teething then they do go off their food and milk as well

just try to get liquids into him to avoid dehydration even if its sips of water.

yeah waking and screaming every hour is common when they are teething have him checked by the doctor for peace of mind to rule out any viruses

Oh dear, Cass I don't know what to say.   How fustrating for you.    I think it could be teeth I remember when H got his top 4 teeth he wouldn't eat much, and was really sookie and clingy.  I have heard that the back teeth are more painful then any other teeth. 

Remember babies wont starve themselves.   I would just leave him for the moment and try bottle later.  Have you tried to lie down with him and see if he will settle that way.  

Also remember in a situation like this panadol can be your very best friend!

If he dosen't settle by the afternoon then I would probably take him to the DR.   Try and rest if he is resting.

Ok I'd be looking at taking him to the doc's just to make sure that there is nothing really wrong. I wish I had the answer for ya Cass but I have to admit this one has me stumped. The only thing I can think of is teeth!!!! Maybe a trip to the doc to ease your own mind would help.

Hey, I totally feeel for you, being creamed at by an nfant is never good. Bubs and younger children will not starve themselves voluntarily so just keep offering fluids and see how he goes today. Obviously if he gets worse or gets a fever or anything like that (i am sure you know what to look out for any way) then I would take him to the doc. Sorry you had such a horrible nght last night. It sux when thay are like this. Hope he settles for you soon so you can cach up on some zzz's too.
