So far this morning we have been quite busy.

I had Shannon's neice stay with me last night. She is 13 and giving her mother hell. So much so that she is moving up to her Dad's this weekend. Her mother is terribly dissapointed in how she has been behaving and has finally cracked and sent her up there. So off she went to school this morning, it was a bit sad actually, coz i doubt that i wll see her again any time soon.

We had swimming lessons at 10 and Austins Nan and Great Nan came to watch. He wasn't impressed today, he got dunked LOL it was funny the look on his face when he came up! We went and had coffee afterward, until the bubs started to get cranky. It really wears them out, even thou they are only in the water for about 25 mins!

When we came home, i fed and changed Austin. He has been asleep since then. 2 1/2 hours!!! I have cleaned the house, done some more washing and now all that is left is the ironing (urgh).

Shannon is coming home today and i am really looking forwad to seeing him. I have missed him more this week than any other i think. With all that has gone on with Austin (needles, controlled crying etc) it has been a pretty tough week for me. After having him here for 5 days straight, i realised just how hard it is to do it on my own!

Austin had his 6 month check up today. He didn't have to have that stuff down his throat, but he still had to have 2 needles. He cried for about 20 seconds and then he was over it. He is much braver than i am! LOL

My little man is not so little any more. He now weighs 8.3kgs and is 66cm long. No wonder i am getting stronger!

I have finally caved and started the controlled crying method. We started yesterday morning with a little bit of success, he cried for about an hour the first time, then 15 minutes at in second nap and again for about an hour at bed time. I felt so guilty listening to him cry, but i know the end result is worth it. Today he was better, he only cried for about 15 minutes each time. Although, i did nurse him to sleep tonight. I felt slack making him have needles so i couldn't make him cry himself to sleep. I'll do it all again tomorrow thou.

Anyway, i hope everyone is having a good week. Hopefully in a few days i'll be able to tell u all that i have finally slept all thru the night... I wont hold my breath waiting for that one thou... LOL

I got home from Sydney on Friday. It was great to get away and even better to get home. Nothing like your own bed!! Austin had a great time. He got to see Aunty Angelique and Uncle Paul and His cousin Tyson. We also went to visit Charmaine and Wayne in Kurnell.

Anyway, we did have a great time and i was more than pleased that the rest of his teeth that were coming thru did cut while we were away.. .So my plan worked! He now has 6 teeth and i am hoping that he will get a decent rest between these ones and the next ones.. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Arrgh - well i havent blogged for ages... This past week has been absolute torture! Austin has cried just about every waking moment and nothing i do seems to be able to settle him. The poor little thing has had 4 teeth at the top all coming thru at once. So far only 2 have cut the skin. I am hoping and praying that the other 2 will cut tonight, because i am really starting to stress out. .. It's not too bad when Shannon is home, but he leaves for work again in the morning and i am left to look after Austin on my own again. I love him to bits, and i would never hurt him, but i get to the point that i have to just leave him screaming in his cot and walk outside. I actually sat out there and cried my heart out the other day because i just didnt know what to do anymore. Anyway, i guess this is all just part and parcel of being mum. It will end eventually...

On an up note, i am heading down to Sydney tomorrow to spend a few days with my Sister. I am looking forward to getting out of the house. I was supposed to be going to stay with a girlfriend of mine, but she bailed on me this morning. I was a bit disapointed but what can you do. Hopefully having the distraction of Angelique, Paul and Tyson there, Austin will be a little bit better for me. Keep your fingers crossed for me!!

Well we had our first swimming lesson today. Although it was a bit cold when we first got in (Austin's lips were shaking so bad) but once we got warmed up it was great! He giggled and laughed most of the time. It is really cool how they teach them! He liked chasing the toys into the middle of the circle (only because he wanted to eat it thou) and the tube thing, she had them sit on it like a horse - he cracked up the whole time we were doing that.

All in all, it was probably the quickest 25 mins i have ever spent in a pool. And the most enjoyable. I cant wait to take him back next week!
