I havent written anything in here for a while, i guess nothing much has been happening...

I spent my weekend with Shannon. Had a bit of a dissapointment thou. Some of you know, i was very excited last week coz he told me that the work where he is is finishing up and he thought that he would be sent to work somewhere close enough that he could be home each day... But it was not meant to be. The work is finishing up, but he is being sent even further away now ... I am very upset, i guess i shouldn't have gotten my hopes up in the first place...

Aprils 1st birthday party was fun! I have never seen so many presents, her Mums loungeroom has hardly any walking space now due to everything she got. The kids had a great time, but they couldn't really play on the ground coz there were loads of green ants around. But they made do. Austin went on a swing with his pop for the first time ever, he thought that was great! So now i am thinking i might get him an outdoor play set for his birthday. I know he will be too little at first but he will grow into it. LOL

Yesterday i went up to visit Kayla again. This time little Ethan was awake and i got to have a nurse of him. Oh he is sooo gorgeous and tiny! It was strange holding him, after carrying Austin around, he feels like a feather! He was very quiet and content laying back in his bouncer. Austin was amazed by him, he kept on staring at him and squeeled at him a few times, i think he was trying to talk to him. Very cute. ... I didn't take any pics of Ethan, i dont think it is my place to be putting pics on here of him anyway, but i do have 1 of Austin and Emily.

Today has been a better day. Austin is still a bit whingy, but i'm sure he will be fine. I still havent figured out what exactly is wrong, but i'm going to guess that it is more teeth.

Thisafternoon we met emmysmum. It was lovely to meet her in person. She is very down to earth, and was more than happy to have me visit her while Austin was giving me greif! Emily is so cute and Austin took to her straight away. He actually followed her around the house, which was very sweet to watch. Emily was holding his hand and giving him kisses. She is a beautiful little girl.

Ethan is so adorable! And he is TINY! I dont remember Austin ever being that small. I know he was, but it seems so long ago now. Ethan was asleep while i was there, but he did come out of his bed for a quick visit. Kayla had the look of a very devoted and content Mummy while she nursed him, which made me remember the special moment i shared with Austin when he was newborn. The ones where nothing else in the world matters for those few seconds when you are staring at your baby.

Unfortunately i didnt take my camera, i left it sitting on my coffee table. But hopefully we will be meeting up next week so i will get some piccys then. I am looking forward to getting to know Kayla better. I can see us being good friends in the future.

Now as for the rest of my day... I can only hope that Austin will have a better night tonight than he did last night... Keep your fingers crossed for me!!

I have to have a whinge!

Austin has cried all night. From 5 thisafternoon because he didnt have a nap. The only time he wasn't crying was when i was carrying him. I have no idea what is wrong with him. He doesnt want to play, he's not hungry, i cant see any teeth. Obviously he is over tired, but he wouldn't bloody sleep! I tried rocking and walking and singing. Good god!! I just spent the last 45 minutes driving around town trying to get him to settle. Thank god for cars! He is alseep now. But i am worried for how long. I wish he could talk and tell me what is wrong. I dont know what i will do if he wakes up and carries on thru the night. I think i will probably be crying with him!!!

God give me strength! I need as much as i can get!

Thank you to the people who replied to my question about high temperatures last night. Shannon is still unwell, but his temp has come down to 38.8. He did make me laugh last night thou, i have never seen him so sick - or so sooky hahaha He was trying to convince me he was dying! Poor thing must have felt aweful!

I'm hopeing for a speedy recovery - like tomorrow! We are going to my girlfriends engagement party and i really want him to be well enough to come.

Anyway, thats all from me. Just wanted to say thanks.

Today i had to go over to my Dads to pick up my rego papers. Not happy either. I nearly choked when i saw how much it is going to cost me! Nearly $800 all up. Sooooo not impressed. I am going to try and get a better price, but i doubt it will be that much difference.

I spent a couple of hours with my Dad, and i got to visit some new puppies and some new cria's. They are so cute when they are little. All wobbly on their legs. Their latest cria was born just 2 days ago. So cute!!!

I have to say i HATE the drive over there. It seems to take so much longer than just 2 hours. Anyway, good thing Austin is a good traveller or i doubt i would do the trip as often as i do.

I finally got a photo of Dad and Austin today. Dad doesn't like having his pic taken since he got sick, he thinks he doesnt look like himself anymore, but i dont care. I love him anyway he looks, and so does Austin!! Check out these pics!!

Today is Angelique's 24th Birthday. I wanted so much to be with her, but unfortunately making the trip to Sydney at the moment is just too expensive! I hope she has a wonderful day today!

As most of you know, Shannon has been working away from home for about 4 months now. It has been incredibly hard for me, especially going thru all the difficult stuff with Austin alone. I have had times where i have questioned my ability as a parent, i have laughed, screamed, cried and wanted to run away from it all at times. I know that at the end of the day, i have always pulled thru. But it would have been a whole heap easier with Shannon here to help. Even just to have him here for a hug when i feel down.

Well, he told me last night, that the work is almost finished for him where he is now and in about 3 weeks, it looks like he will be moved to Wellington, which is just half an hour away from here, which means he will be home every day!! YAY!! I am so excited to have him here with me.

I was just saying to him last week how good it would be if he could be here. He is missing so much of Austin growing up while he is away. So far he has missed the first time he said Dad, the first time he sat up all on his own, he has missed most of his teething (lucky him hey!!) I am just so happy that he will get to be here for when Austin starts to walk and talk some more!

Well, as most of you know, i started controlled crying a couple of weeks ago. I nearly gave on day 3 or 4 i think, but i am soo soo soooo glad that i didn't. For the past 3 nights Austin has slept thru the night from 6.30 - 6.30 only waking for 1 feed at about 11.30. Which is GREAT! I can handle getting up once!

He is now not making a fuss when i put hm down. Sometimes i will hear him playing with his cuddly blanket toy, but other than that, nothing. When he wakes up, he lays in there and talks to himself for 20 mins. Which is also great, coz i am not jumping straight up out of bed like i was when he was crying, so now i get a chance to wake up slowly! YAY!

I just wanted to say thankyou to Cazza for being there for me on msn when i was sitting here listening to him scream. It is amazing how much it helped just having you there to talk to!

And to Nicky - I hope your little angel is sleeping better for you now too.

I never thought that hearing my son say the word Mum would move so many emotions in me. Joy, pride, wonder and amazement, happiness and pure love. 

I have never been happier than what i am now. Having Austin really is the greatest thing i have ever done in my life and i look forward to every day, every experience and every new thing that he learns!!

Hey everyone...

So we can add You Tube video now.... but what happened to fck editor?

When i last blogged i was thinking about stopping the controlled crying. I thought i would have a go one more time that night... and what do you know??? No crying!! Hooray!!

So now it has been 2 whole days without crying when i put him down! I am so happy that i decided to give it one more go. So now, it took him a couple of nights to get used to it, and one night he did have a bit of a shocker! But for the past 2 nights he has gone to sleep by 7pm, waking at about 7.30am and he is only waking up twice thru the night. Which is fine with me, coz now i am getting some sleep.. Hooray!!! He was waking every couple of hours and needed me to settle him.

It is getting colder here thru the night now. I have had to go and buy some all in one suits for Austin again. It's quite funny, coz he hasn't worn them since he was in 000 now he is in 0 and they looks so much bigger. He's not real happy about it coz he cant get his toes, but at least he isn't waking up coz he is cold. God knows what i will do once winter is here!

Today we are going to playgroup for the first time, i hope that the people are nice, and the babies dont beat him up LOL. Then we are heading out to my Dads farm coz my dog is coming into heat and she is going to have her first litter of puppies this time! Yey!
