YAY!! Congrat to everyone else who has gone gold today!!

I feel like i havent been here for days... Oh wait, i haven't!!

Our weekend with Shannon was good. Not that i can really remember that far back now!!

We went over to Dad's on Monday and stayed the night. Austin had a great time! It was soooo cold thou. It's crazy that in town it was about 10deg warmer than out on the farm. Oh well i guess thats what you get for living in the hills hey!!
Dad and Chris have bought a little miniature horse. He is so cute, about 7 hands high. He is only 5 months old at the moment, and hasnt been handled much, but he is adorable. I cant wait til he is old enough to be broken in.

When i brought Austin home on Tuesday he was fine, we got home about 3 i guess and we went up to visit his Aunty and cousin at 4. While we were driving up there, i had to pull over because i thought Austin was choking. He was making this aweful barking sound, got it was scary. Anyway, he wasnt choking so we headed up to Melissas house and he seemed to be having a really hard time breathing. When i brought him home again he had a bath and bottle and i put him down to sleep. About 1/2 hour later he was screaming. The poor thing couldn't breath.

I called the hospital and they advised me to bring him up to see them. I got there at about 7.30, He was checked out by 3 doctors, 2 thought he had croup, 1 thought it was bronchialitis (sp) so they treated him for both at first, they gave him some ventalin and then some steroids and waited 1/2 hour to see how he reacted. Nothing changed so they admitted him into pediatrics for the night. My poor little man sounded aweful, I really dont think i have slept for more than 4 hours each night for the past 2 nights. So we stayed at the hospital over night. I was glad to be there. I am not normally someone who rushes to the doctor or hospital when something is wrong, but i was so scared. I have never heard anything like it...

Anyway, they checked him out yesterday morning and after lots of umms and ahhs they decided he could come home, but they gave me some sort of thing so that if he got bad again i could go back to pediatrics without going thru emergency again. My MIL came over and stayed the night with us, thank god, coz i doubt i could have dealt with it on my own. He was fine all day yesterday, well not fine, but better, and then again last night he was aweful. He was awake every hour til about 12 and then i had to take him to bed with me so we could all get some sleep.

Today he is ok, he is sounding like whatever is in his chest has broken up and he now just has to cough it up. I have a follow up appointment with the doctor who saw him on Tuesday night today, so i hope he says that he is ok.

I guess all i can do is keep on doing what i have been doing. One thing i am grateful for is that even while he has been so sick, he is still happy, smiling, laughing, playing. He just has his sooky moments every now and then. But they dont last long.

Yesterday Shannon, me and Austin went to see Hi5 with Kayla and Emily and i have to say, i was shocked. They were really good.

So the day started well. Austin woke up in a great mood (YAY!!) but then i started thinking oh god, i have to get him to have a sleep before we have to leave. He ended up going down and he got about 45 mins sleep, which was fine, he woke up refreshed and ready to dance!!

I went up and picked up Kayla and Emily and off we went. When we got there there was a cue that was soooo long, it reminded me of cues to get into nightclubs in sydney. I knew there would be alot of people, but this was crazy!! I have never seen so many kids all in one place.

Anyway, we got inside and sat down on the floor. Austin sat with Daddy and Emily stood in front of us. All the kids were so excited, you could feel it thru the hall.

Hi5 came out and started their show, and i was shocked by how good they were. I havent ever really seen them, except for when Tyson was younger, he liked them.

Austin had a great time dancing on Daddy's lap and i'm pretty sure Emily had a great time too.

After we left, Austin was very tired and getting grumpy and Emily wanted to go back and see more. He he he he... All in all, it was great, if you get the chance to go, i would recommend it!!

Tomorrow Austin and i are off to see Hi5 with Kayla (emmysmum) and Emily... Austin has never seen them before, not even on tv, so i am wondering how he will like it. I'm sure he will be fine. He is a bit of a groover, anything with music is popular with him LOL

I will be sure to take lots of pics and post them for everyone to see.

Shannon comes home today YAY!! We will have 4 whole days together. And even better, we have noone staying here this weekend WOO HOO!! I soooooo miss just being able to lounge around with him, and stuff...  so i am really looking forward to this weekend.

Well i cant open it very wide anyway. My Dentist appt was nowhere near as bad as i was expecting it to be. I was shocked at how quick it was really. When i got there i was a little nervous, but my dentist was an older man, which made me feel a bit more relaxed (i have no idea why)... So he looked at my tooth, asked if it hurt, i said killing me, he wiggled it around a bit and told me he was going to take it out!

So he gave me 2 needles.... OH MY GOD!!! THAT HURT!!!  Took an xray and pulled my tooth out. I think the worst part was not being able to talk, eat, drink or feel half of my head for 4 hours afterwards!!!

Anyways, Shannon is home YAY!! And he is working today, Austin has a birthday party to go to at 1 and he is going with his Aunty and Cousin, so i will get a 2 hour break. God knows what i will do. Probably come home and sit on Minti LOL

Tonight i am hoping that my in-laws will be staying here in town so that they can babysit for us. The guy that has been staying here wants to take us out for dinner. Last time we tried that Austin put on such a performance that i said i was staying home with him, so of course then everyone stayed home.

Well i'm off to the dentist thisafternoon. I really hope that it will help this headache i have had for weeks. I am a little scared about going. I am petrified of dentists. Have been since i was a kid. Oh i hope he is friendly. I guess i went thru labour, so it cant possibly be that bad..... Can it???

Austins great grand parents are watching him while i am there. I hope he doesn't play up on them. He can be a handful when he wants to be, and he doesn't know them all that well... I'm sure it will be fine.

Shannon comes home today YAY!! I'm so happy he will be here. I have missed him loads this week. It's funny, i thought it would get easier as time went on with him working away, but it is getting harder. I hate it a little more each week when he leaves. At least he has a short week this week, Long weekend next weekend and he gets and RDO aswell, so we'll have 4 days together.

Anyway my little man is awake now, so i gotta go.

I went to my MIL house last night to get a bit of rest from Austin waking all night. Well i tried to keep him up a bit later, that didnt help. He was up 3 times thru the night. and awake at 5.30am. Nan got up too, she was trying to convince him that sleep was the best thing for him to be doing at that hour... he was sticking his tongue out at her PMSL.. it was almost like he knew what she was saying.

He was pooped today thou, we got home and he had a couple of hours sleep, when he woke up we went out and got some shopping done and by the time we got home, he was so tired the poor thing didn't even want to eat. Mind you he had had something at 4. So we had a super quick bath and a bottle and he has been sound asleep for over an hour now.

We also went up to visit Aunty Melissa and April. April can now say Austin. It is sooo cute. It comes out "Auuuss...tiii" She is a character. When Austin is commando crawling around, she grabs hold of his top and his pants and tries to pick him up. She wants him up walking with her. How cute!!

On a sad note, my Dad had another stroke last night. It really does worry me. I just dont know how much longer this can go on for. He was such a fit and healthy man before he got sick, and now, ... oh i dont know. I dont want to bring any bad luck on him, so i cant bring myself to say it. I just hope and pray that he is ok.

I have had a headache for 3 weeks. I am assuming that it is because of my tooth. Well i am hoping that is all it is. I have a dentist appointment this friday .. I am terrified of dentists, but i gotta get this done now. I hope my headache goes when the toothache does. If not, i may have to see a doctor about it.

Austin slept for 6 solid hours last night. I was sooo happy when i got up to him and realised what time it was. Then at 4am he was wide awake and wanting to play . He did go back to sleep at 5.30, but i was still not happy. I will try to keep him up later tonight. He went to sleep at about 6 last night, so if i can keep him up til 7.30, hopefully he will sleep thru til.. umm. . . daylight LOL

He is a little sooky today, and it is starting to wear thin on me, so i am heading over to my MIL thisafternoon so i can hopefully get some rest. He is always better behaved when he goes somewhere else.  Anyway the consant whining is not helping the headache situation and i seem to be loosing my patience alot quicker than i usually would. Maybe he gets bored here or something.

Oh while i'm on the bored subjest, does anyone have any ideas on what amuses an 8 1/2 month old, he gets so bored with his toys at the moment, even new ones only keep him occupied for 5 mins. I cant seem to keep him entertained. I dont have much money to spend, but i would be willing to try just about anything at the moment.

I've had a long weekend. My poor little man is not very happy at the moment. I feel so terrible for him he seems to have copped a whole heap of bad luck the past couple of weeks, first with his 2 new teeth, and his rash, then he got this nasty cold, which seems to be getting better, but i just dont know. He still is a little sniffly and miserable and just not sleeping well at night.

For the past week, he has been having me get up and down all night, naturally, i was in there at first because i thought he couldn't breathe - which was the case to begin with - but now, i dont know what is going on. I am going out to buy lavender bath wash, a sleeping bag pj's thing and another big blanket thisafternoon (thank you to everyone to who answered my question). It was time for me to do that anyway, it is getting really cold here at night.

This past weekend was ok, we had a friend staying with us, which was nice, but Shannon and i didnt get to spend alot of time alone. Austin is starting now to try to crawl properly. Yesterday he got up on his knees and bounced and fell back on his belly, then he got up again and he took a couple of crawl steps, then back on his belly.. Little bugger is more interested in pulling himself up on things. I really do think he will walk before he can crawl properly LOL

This week we have no plans. I wont be taking him to playgroup while he is sick. I think he got his cold from there anyway. And swimming lessons are finished now. .. .. .. not too sure what we will do now.

Oh my god Oh my god OH MY GOD!!!

I am in a complete panic at the moment. I couldn't remember the last time i had my period, so i have just gone thru my blogs and emails trying to find something - anything - that may trigger my memory. And the last time i can remember having them was 6 weeks ago!!!

I cant believe this. I hope to god i am not pregnant. I would love to have another baby, but i am not ready for number 2 yet! I wanted to wait til Austin was closer to 2 or 3!

Oh god, please please please please please ... Period come now!!

You aren't going to believe this! I only just posted this blog half and hour ago... I just got my period.

Wow. Talk about ask and you shall recieve.

Today we went over to Mudgee to catch up with Dad and Chris again. To save me from going all the way out to the farm, they met me in town at a friends place.

Austin had a mad time, he discovered birds PMSL!!  The lady who's house we were at breeds and hand raises birds. He learnt how to bang on the cages to get them to fly, he squeeled every time they made a noise and cracked up laughing when the would fly at him. He especially loved the blue and yellow coloured ones, and he wasn't too keen on the white and black ones.

My Dad was having a really good day today which was great coz he spent most of the time i was there nursing and playing with Austin. When he is not feeling well, he can only keep up him for a little while.

I also went and caught up with a few people from my old work. It was great to see them. It has been a while. They couldn't believe how much Austin has grown. And how happy he is. I dont think any of them have ever actually seen anything but smiles from him. hahaha

Tomorrow i think i have to spend the day cleaning the house... yuck. Well i will see how i go.. hehe.

Yesterday was not a very happy day for me... Austin was grizzly every waking moment and nothing i could do would settle him...

So we were playing the screaming game in the afternoon, he squeels, then i do etc etc, and i noticed on either side of his 2 bottom teeth... HE HAS 2 MORE TEETH!!!!

They just seemed to pop up out of nowhere!! YAY! He had been drooly for a while, but i didnt expect them just to come thru like that in 1 day!!

Last night he acted up a bit, it took me a little longer to settle him than it usually would have, but at least he had good reason to! My clever little man!

Then i guess it was about an hour and a half after he went to sleep and he woke up screaming! The poor thing was that stuffed up in the nose that he couldn't breathe. When i was feeding him, i even had to take him off the boob so that he could take a breath. I was so scared. I even considered camping in his room so that i could keep a close eye on him. I didn't and he was fine, but he woke up this morning and he is still not well. I so wish he knew how to blow!

One thing that i did learn last night, was the strength of my love and care for him. I had gone to bed with a migraine and a toothache, i was NOT well at all. But as soon as i went in to get him and heard him struggling for air, all of my pain was gone. All that mattered was him.

Well for the past few days i have really been noticing that summer is gone and winter is coming. It seems to be getting very windy here. And FREEZING during the night and in the morning. I have gone and bought Austin some new pj's this week, the ones with feet in them, coz he kicks the blankets off and pulls his socks off. Little bugger. If anyone has any tips on how to get him to stay under the blankets, i would appreciate it! I have also started microwaving his wipes before i change his bum! I feel sorry for him when they are cold LO L

Shannon comes home today! YAY! But he is working in town all weekend, so i doubt that i will get to see much of him. Austin and i are heading over to MIL's house for lunch on Sunday, that should be an interesting day. Melissa and April's Dad have recently gotten back together and MIL wasnt happy about it. But she was very nice last weekend and invited him to Sunday lunch. So i'm hoping it will be a nice afternoon, with not too many dramas.

Well i'm off to swimming lessons now - only this one and next week to go - THANK GOD!! It is so cold when you get out of the water!
