Well, it has been quite a while since i have blogged about anything.

We have had a busy few weeks. Austin started daycare, which he is finally settled into. He is doing very well there. He plays well with the other kids and sings and dances with them. He has now learnt a few new actions to new nursery rhymes that i havent taught him. He tries to say alot of new words since he has been going there too. He is now sleeping in the cot there, which he wouldnt do the first 2 weeks. He still wont take a bottle from the daycarer thou, i dont know why... He does eat all of his food thou, so i am not Too worried.

He can now say lots of new words. He can say pop, birdy, fish, jag and his new favourite's that have just come this week.. NO and ME!! hahaha

He is walking very well now and running too. He is such a little show off. We had Shannons parents over last night and my little performer was walking around with a hanky covering his face. He thought it was hilarious to run into the lounge and all of us. Admittedly, the hanky is white and almost see thru, but that didnt take away from the fun he was having. He has also learnt to immitate people.. He does what we call his "funny walk" where he straightens one leg and steps out to the side, like he is limping or hobbling. His Pop has a bad knee, so i think he got it from him. His other funny walk is where he will run on the spot, very fast.

He is just so clever! I can't believe how much he has grown up! Here are some pics i took yesterday.

My work is still pissing me off. I finally got a payslip from them and it turns out they are paying me even less than what i had originally thought... So i have applied for more jobs. I went back to work coz we need the money. It is barely even worth me going with what they are paying me. I also realised the other night that there are only about 3 people there that i can actually talk to. Other than the 15 year olds that is. One of the managers there is just a complete b*tch! I tried to start a convo with her and she literally just stared at me.. I had no idea what to do next... Not very friendly. Anyway, thats my b*tch about them for now. Hopefully i will get another job this week. Its pretty sad when you have only been at a place for a month and already want to leave.

I have spent the afternoon making up Austins food. All was going really well until i turned on the hotplate for the last lot of vegies...

I had walked away for about 3 mins, long enough for it to warm up, when i came back to the kitched, it was full of smoke!!

Stupid me had turned the wrong hotplate on. I had my bottle steamer sitting on the stove waiting for the kettle to boil and had turned that hotplate on.

My whole house smells of melted plastic now! Thank god it has been warm so we were able to open up the windows!

STOOOOPPIIIIIIIID mummy!!!

Well i worked my 4 1/2 hour shift tonight. Yay. (not) I had to do my shift with the owner because the normal guy i work with is away this weekend. It was quite cool working with him. At least he is older and actually knows what i am talking about when i am talking LOL

Anyway at the end of my shift i asked about my pay and hours etc. Because they originally advertised for day shifts and so far i have only worked night on weekends (not happy about that) So i said to her will i be getting any more shifts than this? Next week i have friday and sat nights again. She said oh yes, during the school holidays. I said what about after the school holidays. She said, oh well, you see this place really isnt a lunch time destination.

So i told her that i would continue to look for work somewhere else. When i signed up with them, i assumed it would be for the day shifts advertised as well as the weekend nights, not just the weekend nights.

Sooo off i go in search of another job. Damn it, it is really hard trying to get work when you are a mum!!!

So this week started out well. Shannon was home for the week for holidays, Austin was happy and sleeping well and we were excited about our trip to Sydney...

Well that all changed on Tuesday!!! There is this scumbag d*ckwod that lives in our street. I had seen him around a bit, but never had said anything to him.. And then i few weeks ago, i had just put Austin down for the night and he knocks on my door. Automatically i am standing at the screen door locking it. He asks for a couple of smokes.. This is where i am completely stupid.. I am terrified of these sort of people, so i think if i am nice, he will leave me alone. So i give him a couple of smoke and he leaves. A few days later he pulls me up as im reversing out my driveway and asks for some more. I elbow the locks down and give him some and take off.

Well... On Tuesday, the bastard walked straight into our house!!!! Shannon and i were sitting out the back. Had probably only been there 3 minutes and Shannon had to come inside. He heard the front door open, so he bolted to the door. This a**hole was walking out the door!!

At first look we didnt think anything was gone, but later when we were packing we realised that he had taken our video camera. I am very upset about this, but am slowly getting over it. We have called the cops. They can do nothing about it really. But at least it is noted so that if anything happens again we have it on record. I have also called the real estate and the security company to come and fix our security system and get it monitored. Seriously i am so scared at the moment. God knows how i will sleep at night when Shannon is back at work!

So we went to Sydney on Wednesday... Shannon wnt to the Disturbed concert and i stayed at the motel and chilled out. Man the drive there sucks!!! On Thursday we got up and had breakfast at pancakes on the rocks OMG!! It was sooooo good! We then spent the morning walking off our breakfast LOL. Did a bit of shopping in Pitt st and George st and then headed back to the motel. We went to a mexican restaurant for dinner. Shannon had never been to one, so off we went. The food was ok. But i doubt i would go back again.

We did have a really lovely time while we were down there. But i think next time i would like to take Austin so we can go and do all the tourist attraction things.. Maybe when he is a bit older!

I simply cant believe that it has been 11 years since my Mum passed away.

She was truly the most wonderful person in the world to me. I adored her. She was everything that you could ever want or need in a mother.

So this is just a short blog to say I miss you Mum. Every day. I will never forget you and you will live on forever in me and my children.
