I have had a Mazda for a couple of years now...we love it!  Way cheaper on gas too than our Park Avenue (we don't drive it much anymore)  GL with new car and happy travels.

I have to admit, I'm a little surprised at you not having a license. (NO idea what Ps and Ls are! ;)) Is there pretty good public transportation where you live? We have nothing! If I didn't drive I could go nowhere!

Wow that is exciting!  Congratulations.  Get crackin and get your P's!  You will feel so much freedom I am sure.  I am doing drving with my 16yo stepson.  He has his L's and is well on his way to get his P's in September.  Luckily in Perth, he only has to do like 25 hours or something.  I know in Melbourne he would have needed the 120. 

As for the magic cleaning genie...send him my way after you find him!

Aww Cath, Im so glad to here everything is falling into place nicely for you!! Thats great that you have found a car, you must be so excited!! Make sure you get those lessons and get your p's, hahahaha who am i to talk, have had a car for 2years and cant drive hahahaha...

Ah well maybe we can drive to see eachother when we pull our fingers out hahahaha, long drive but hey i think its worth it. Oh and when you find the cleaner let me know, i would have loved some sort of robot who could have unpacked my house for me!!

Certainly a gold week!  It was so sto get my license way back then...not sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing!  Just lots of practice up and you'll be fine.  My mum never had a license and i honestly don't know how she got on, but i guess people didn't have to travel as far back then or is that why we never did too much just played around home etc????

I haven't got my license yet either.......it's just so daunting. I had my L's back when I was 16 but just never took it any further......I'm kicking myself now!!!!

I should find out more on monday about the volunteer. Can't wait really coz I'll make things so much easier when Shane goes back to work. I guess it'll turn into my housework day.As long as they're ok to my kids I'll be happy

Hi Cath, congratualions on the car and it shouldn't take too long to do those hours though 120 hours is going a bit crazy. My son only just got his and I am sure it wasn't that much. Oh well. How about a big drive over to visit! LOL Worth a try. I used to volunteer one day a week with red cross helping out people with multiple births etc. I hope you get someone really nice to come help out. Things are looking good!

Wow!! Congrats Cath! That is sooo good! Yuck having to do all those hours for your licence thou! I originally got my licence before the hours thing was introduced, but i got lazy and let mine expire coz i never drove in Sydney. I got my P's back just in time so i didnt have to do my L's again.

If i ever find a magical cleaning genie, i'll send it your way... after it has finished cleaning up cyclone Austin's mess!
