Well its hot again here in Adelaide but also really windy. I cant wait sor the cool change to get here. Its not supposed to be as hot next week. Only going to be 25 tomorrow Hopefully!!! I have spent most of the day picking up all the stuff that has blown around the back yard. I will finallt get to do some baking again. it has just been too hot to have the oven on for ant length of time. My son has been nagging me to make biscuts and cakes but way too hot for that. so roll on next week and i can crank up the cooking and freeze a heap of stuff ready for when it heats back up. It will be so good to finaly open up my house to air it out properly instead of constantly running the air con all the time

All I can say is bring on the cooler weather. After 1week of 40+ weather i have honestly had enough. Its been one of those weeks if the hot weather wasnt bad enough my car broke down on the way to pick my son up from school last Thursday. The Fan decided it was a good time to stop working so it then overheated. With a phone call to my partner who is a mechanic found out how i could get the car home again without cooking the motor a 15min. trip home  turned into a 60min.. run home stopping half way to let it cool down again luckily my son still had plenty of cold water in his drink bottle as our school has  a refridgerated drink fountain for the kids to fill up their drink bottles. eventually we were home. Then to top it off partner came home to fix the fan after work only to find out when we went to fill it back up with water 2 of  the welsh plugs had let go and it was now peeing out water. just my luck. On the bright side I didnt have to go out in the heat on Friday as my car wasnt going anywhere So i had to give my son the day off school due to no way of getting him home from school. But it is all fixed now hopefully there cant be much left to replace on it now surely. replaced clutch and starter motor just before christmas Had new springs and shockers put in the front and now fan and welsh plogs . the worst part is my partner is a mechanic  yet our cars seem to get left until they break. Then i get the nickname the wrecker because its me driving when something goes on the car. i will tell him if the car is making an unusual noise or something isnt right and he normally tells me it will be right then when it finally gives up the ghost its my fault. I keep telling him if he fixed it when i first told him about things then it wouldnt turn into such a push job to quickly get fixed so i can have the car back . Hope everyone in Adelaide is managing to stay cool Roll on the weekend as it is only going to be 25 on Sunday so they say but we'll see.

Well its that time of the year again off on a rod cruisr to Tanunda SA we go every year. We all go up there for the evening catch up with all the other families from the hot rod club. Go see how many different cars have come out of the sheds. Ours is still in our shed being built It seems it will never be finished. May be one day but still looks like a pile of junk. (rust bucket but dont tell my partner that lol) We have several cars that are in the process of being rebuilt but none are going yet. i call myself a SHED WIDOW as he spends lots of time there . not thet much srrms to get dine more looking than working i reckon. It all takes time is what i get told you cant rush things. He once told me we couldnt get married until he finished his gt well 7yrs later  you guessed it im still waiting. A guy we know offered to buy it once and i told him to get in line because i need  a wedding before he is allowed to sell, as he isnt getting out of this thst easily. So tonight i get to dream of what it would be like yo have our cars on the road and who knows it might even give him some inspiration to finish one of them. Rhen maybe awedding but wont hold my breath. oh well off to dream about what might be one day!!!!

well my son and i finished our guitar hero competition and as usual i lost but i was winning for about three rounds in a row but then he made a comeback and whooped my butt. Being the gracious loser that i am i challenged him to a game of monopoly party on the playstation and won. it is about the only game i can sucessfully beat him at. But in all honesty it was great just spending time together. as he is getting to the point where he wants to spend alot more time with his friends than his mum. But we still always make time to do things together or as a family.For i believe you should always make at least half an hour or more each day to do something with your kids. i know at times this can seem impossible but if we show them we are prepared to make an effort then so will they. I know that my son and i are a lot closer for it. We also comprimise on when and what we do. So until the next mother vs son competition keep on spending as much quality time with your kids as tou can as they grow up so fast. Our next competition is cricket on the weekend Lachlan and myself against a good friend of mine and her son depending on the weather if not too hot.
