Boy I can't believe that my daughter has had another baby so soon after giving birth to her first. The second one came so fast (5 hours from start to finish) that none of us had time to really prepare. The baby was early by a few days. He came on the 13th of August and was a healthy 6lb 12oz. She really wanted an epidural but it was way too late for that. The funniest thing happened during the birth. There were two nurses, my son, myself and her husband in the room as well as a doctor. In the middle of a contraction she stopped dead, pointed at the doctor who was an anaethetist, a young Vietnamese man, (he was standing by with some Sodium Pentethal for pain relief during the contractions) and said to him, "I've seen you before...I know I've seen you." Then after a short pause she continued, "I know where I've seen you! Have you ever been in the Wiggles?" to which he replied, "Yes, I fill in during my lunch break." There whole room roared with laughter. The funny thing is that to this day she still maintains that she has seen him in the Wiggles! Well everyone, take care until I visit again. What with the new baby, the 1 year old, my son, the property, the magazine, the business and taking my son-in-law to work everyday at 6.30am, I doubt it will be anytime soon!
