 Hi everyone,
I am a forty year young mother of 4. I have 3 sons and 1 daughter. My sons are 19, 16 & almost 15, and my daughter is 5. Two of my sons are currently living with their dad. I have my middle son, the 16 year old and my daughter with me. I got married when I was 20 but we separated by the time my youngest son was 2. We were together for ten years all up though, and we are still very good friends, which is great for the kids. My daughter is not his but she calls him Daddy Colin and he doesn't mind a bit. He treats her the same as the boys, the only difference is she doesn't ever stay over his place like the boys do. In fact, at the moment he has 2 of our boys living with him, the oldest and the youngest.
My eldest son is Caillum. Hmmm now what can I say about my darling first born.... He has just turned 19 and I must say of all my children, he has been my greatest challenge, but in saying that, I do love him to bits. He has the best sense of humor, he cracks me up even when I don't want to laugh he makes me anyway. He was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 4 after 3 years of what I can only describe as hell. I felt relief when I first was given the diagnosis, at least there was a reason for his behaviour. I wasn't just a "bad mother". He was medicated and I was given behaviour strategies to use. Some of which worked but there were a lot that didn't. Every day was a struggle but I wouldn't trade a ...
