For Christmas I got the book "Shapelle Corby, My Story". Ive always believed in Shapelle and sobbed my heart out when I watched the footage of her verdict. The book reminded me of all that pain and trauma and that she is still trapped in a filthy jail far from home.

Anyone remember Bankok Hilton with Nicole Kidman? That movie horrified me - I had no idea, but this is what Shapelle lives and faces for the next 20 years. I believe she is innocent but even if she was guilty it is a horrendous and disproportionate punishment.

If someone did try and bring over 4 kilo of dope into Bali they would have to be unbelieveably stupid to have it in a big plastic bag in an unlocked boogie board bag. Anyone seeing Shapelle speak at her trial could see she is not an idiot, she is articulate and intelligent, a gentle sweet girl next door type.
Ive had it suggested to me that she is just a clever actress??? What on earth could she have hoped to achieve - international stardom? Oh yes very useful when you happen to be locked up in prison - not forgetting that in Bali drug trafficking carries the death penalty.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Shapelle and her family- May she be released soon and may they have the chance to rebuild their lives in peace.

The kids rushed through and were enchanted to find santas elfs had festooned the lounge with bright new tinsel garlands!
Not to mention the exciting parcels under the tree. Santa had even eaten his cup cakes- and the reindeer their lettuce

We are all settling down to watch Pirates of the Carribean now

Sorry - I cant believe its been so long since ive been on here- but school holidays hit and that was it !!!!
The kids finished on the 15th - but I was in melbourne on the 13th and 14th and had a friend stay for two days before that - so its just been busy- but lots of fun!!!!!!!!!!

KYLIE WAS FANTASTIC!
OMG- IT WAS sosososososoosososososoo BRILLLLLLIANT!
We were right down on the floor and as we were int he front section we got to go right up to the stage- all the front section people left their seats. It was fabulous I danced NON-STOP for 2 hours!!!!

Kylie looked beautiful and it was a very emotional and highly charged experience.

For those who are wondering- I wore black jeans and a black shiny top- with a big glittery pendant necklace ;-)
Will prob not be on much for the next couple of weeks either as with christmas and then visiting family etc I dont expect to get online much- looking forward to Minti in 2007!!!!!!

all we have done is hang out at the pool- or sleep!
We dont have any fires near us at the moment, but there has been lots of smoke hanging around for days. The wind changed a couple of hours ago so the skies have cleared a fair bit here.
It isnt as hot but its still muggy and quite unpleasant.

Hope everyone is ok and safe from  fires.

It was nice and warm today. DH had the day off and the kids had a day off school for report writing day so we all went to the pool for the afternoon.

Today is the first day of the local pool season. So we were down there for the opening. As a result we have the coveted ticket NUMBER ONE. oh boy!
I asked them to give the #1 ticket to DD - at 13 this is a great prestige symbol apparently.
The boys stayed in the water for about 5 minutes went blue and lay shivering on the concrete for half an hour before I coaxed them home- they have been in front of the heater wearing cosy tracksuits ever since!.
