Hi everyone- I have been so busy with the school holidays I barely get near the computer! I will be back next month!
However I just heard about an event in Victoria (Australia) that may be of interest to some people- so I will post it here.
Personally I am against the death penalty so this is of interest to me - I dont want to have a discussion about who did what or what they deserve- this is for info only *grin* Cheers; Luv to all xoxo
"Our committee "this precious life" is holding a benefit/rally/event to bring people together so that we can step up pressure on the Aust. govt to bring the Bali 9 back to Australia, and be retried in Australian courts.
Many business, artists and individuals have donated presents/prizes for our raffles and the support for you all is overwhelming in our district (Daylesford Victoria). Our event will be held at the Palais, Hepburn Springs on the 25th Feb 2007 1p.m. onwards. We will have senior representatives from the labour party the greens together with human rights activists law experts and musicians including Kutcha Edwards, Ground Components and Darren Hanlon as well as children's' entertainment.
all monies gathered will go directly and equally to the families of the 9 young Australians held in the Bali prison. the event will be recorded and filmed/photographed. its is the first of an ongoing campaign - for AS LONG AS IT TAKES." |
