I didn't realize how long it has been since i've been on my comp lol First off i don't know why my profile says Grace is 5years, she is only 24 months. this Christmas will be really exciting as she will be really into it this year. We had her pic taken with Santa, and she didn't cry which was a surprise. Our oldest daughter has her first job at Tim Hortons. I think she is going to quit though which i have been highly encouraging about as they have been giving her really bad hours. Imagine making a high school student work til midnight. I am proud to say that we haven't bought any of our kids anything electronic this year. I don't want Grace to think play time is all about pushing buttons and that's it. We want her to use her little mind and have some imagination. Well, this is really all i can think of to write about right now. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!!! |

Oh been awhile since i've been on here. My comp is doing wierd things tonight. So, my oldest daughter, Cassandra, has her first job. She is working at Tim Hortons. She seems to enjoy it, now if i could just get my middle daughter a bit more motivated!!!!! She is 16 and has her first boyfriend. I don't know if it's just me being overprotective or what but, i'm not too keen on this boy and neither is my husband. Her marks have gone way down since they've been together and he thinks her every waking moment should be spent with him and he makes her cry all the time. He got mad at her because she went to the mall with some of her friends and she didn't tell him she was going!!! He wouldn't talk to her but she got mad at me because she asked me if i wanted her to break up with him and i said yes. I wasn't going to lie but to me this is the start of him trying to control her. I told her even though they were a couple it was perfectly normal to have different interests and to spend time with other friends. So, he told her since we don't like him he won't come over to our house and i won't let her go to his place except for a few hours on Saturday and only if her homework is done. Am i being too hard?? Any outside opinions on the subject? Baby Grace is doing wonderful. I forgot how funny toddlers are. About a hundred times a day i bust a gut laughing at her. She loves to dance which is the most entertaining thing going on in the house. She loves to follow her sisters around and gets mad when they go out lol and they fight over who has spent more time with her. Anyway, guess that's all for today. I hope to get on here more often and start making some friends instead of just random ramblings. Good night. |

It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of my father-in-law. This is my little tribute to him.
ANDREW MILLER SR., SEPT 15 1933-SEPT 14 2006- We only knew each other four short years before God took you home, but you have given me a lifetime of memories. You were a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Thank you for loving me and accepting me into your family with open arms. I will always remember your warm smile and quick wit. Thank you for the laughter and for showing me how to cut a rug Scottish style. I wish Grace could have gotten more time with her papa, but i promise you she will always know who you are and how much you loved her. God saw you suffering and knew it was time to call you home. Our tears will eventually stop flowing when we think of you and will be replaced with smiles and laughter at our memories. As long as you are loved then you will continue to live in our hearts. I love you. Good bye Andy, until we meet again.
Andy and Agnes were married 47 years but together 50 years. They have two children, Andrew (my husband) and Julie. They also have 4 grandchildren. Andy was born in Scotland where he went on to become a professional soccer player, a veteran and a miner. In 1966, they immigrated to Canada to start a new life. He will be missed very much by all those whose lives he has touched. |

Well, my day today has not been very good. We received a phone call that my father-in-law is pretty much on his deathbed. He is in a nursing home because of alzheimers. We went to visit him on Tuesday and he was horribly jaundiced. When my husband asked a nurse about it she told him it was normal for residents in a nursing home to get jaundice because of lack of activity. Now considering my father in law also has diabetes, i found that excuse very hard to believe. And now they call us and say he collapsed around midnight last night because his liver, kidneys and pancreas aren't working and he has a bowel obstruction and fluid building up in his lungs. The hospital said there is nothing they can do for him and they sent him back to the nursing home to die!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, i am taking it upon myself to write letters to MP's because i want to know why this man's illness ignored by the nurses. I have to wonder how many other elderly people this has happened to. Anyway, that is my vent for today, i'm just glad he got to see the kids one more time. Good night all |
