Minti leans Labor for Aussie Election 2010

Comment Published at 19:2819:282 comments2 comments15 Visits15 VisitsReport

We ran a quick Australian Election Survey on Minti last week prior to the weekend's Australian Election, and although we didn't get too many responses (only 26 Australian Voters), here are the results...

  1. Labor (or Greens) = 42.3% (11 votes)
  2. Liberal (or Nationals) = 30.76% (8 votes)
  3. Other (including Donkey vote) = 26.92% (7 votes)

And here are your comments...

  1. i am thinking family first??? maybe??
  2. really at the end of the day people will never be happy with anyone that is voted in
  3. this election is the worse that i have seen in all my years. personally i really dont want to vote anyone. in my opinion if our current prime minister can be so ruthless to her own party member (and not just any party member but a prime minister voted by the majority of australians) then only one can imagine how she will treat the general australian public. liberals, well again just as worse as labour as both dont really tell us what their policies are. they attack and counerattack each other. pity the energy isnt spent on perfecting their policies. im also sick of both parties "stating policies" without really stating them. or keeping them open so that it suits them to be able to chop and change their policies. on another general note the voting system is so stupid as we front the polling booths and dont have to show any id. we have to show id for almost anything theses days and the most important to all us australians on who will run the country and we dont have to produce id. big deal if they ask you verbally "have you voted anywhere else today" anyone can say no.
  4. not much to choose from really, but i certainly won't be voting for greens/labor...bloody idiots!
  5. i really would not have a clue... trying to keep up with both of them i am totally undecided...
  6. first time in my life, i wish we had someone with a backbone, to vote for
  7. julia has no idea who she is what she stands for, it will be close but liberals will squeak it in given the last state (sa) election antics by labor, backstabbing the standing pm, mining tax etc!
  8. why do you ask?
  9. not very impressed by either party

Thanks to all those who took part.

Seems to me as though we were all less than impressed with the major parties, as was the rest of Australia.

NEW links on MINTI

Comment Published at 00:4000:4049 comments49 comments104 Visits104 VisitsReport

Dear Minti Members

We are thinking of adding some new permanent links on to the top of every Minti page.

The aim is to highlight popular areas and make it easier for all members to get there.

We would like to hear from you...

  1. what particular pages do you think we should link to?
  2. where do you like to visit most on Minti?
  3. what is hard to get to at the moment that you would like to make easier?
  4. we are looking for existing places on Minti, but feel free to suggest new ideas also...

Some areas that we think we should possibly highlight (link to) are as follows...

  1. Bulletin Board
  2. Baby Photo Contest
  3. Family Funnies
  4. New Idea / Take 5

For example the links may look like...

We are not 100% sure where to put them yet.

I hope you can help.

Thanks muchly
Clay

This post is from from my other blog here

Image from here. About a month ago I decided it was about time I started to concentrate on my “Google Reputation Management”, with my first goal being “to rank #1 in Google for the search term Clay Cook“. I must admit that it has always got under my skin a little that a fairly well known [...]

Fail to fire, you lose

Comment Published at 02:0002:000 comments0 comments16 Visits16 VisitsReport
This post is from from my other blog here

Last Sunday I saw two perfect examples of when people (or teams) play “within themselves” and fail to; take the game on, play to their assets, and play to WIN! The first was when the Dockers lost to the Adelaide Crows. Did they turn up expecting Adelaide to lay down? Maybe (obviously their first mistake), [...]
