I received an email the other day asking if some of our members want to be on TV.
If you are interested, please read below.

[I have been given permission to provide a copy of the email below.]

Good Day, I have always loved your site, it is engaging and real. My asst producer's husband is from Perth, so I think I have an affinity for Australia and it's kind inhabitants. We are shooting some better family living TV and I wonder if some of your MUMs would be interested. If we get enough budget we are sure to come abroad. Perhaps you know a mom in America as well who would like to participate in a better family living segment with us. My colleagues at The MONTEL WILLIAMS SHOW (2.5 million viewers) are looking for families to participate in television segments regarding improving family life. We would like families that will allow us to go into their home, have a coach intervene with them to enhance their skills and then feature them on the show to see the progress. We are looking for families with two or more children who desire to improve several areas of their lives: 1) Health 2) Exercise 3) School success 4) Friendships 5) Managing your home 6) Parenting your children 7) Coping with tweens and teens 8) Love relationships 9) Finding time for yourself 10) Changing career We are looking for families that can relate to one of the following questions: 1) Are you having difficulty balancing work, family and life? 2) Have you remarried and your new family is having difficulty coming together? 3) Are you having trouble getting your children to do their homework? 4) Are you having difficulty getting your kids to do as you say? 5) Are your children running your home? 6) Are morning or evening routines difficult in your home? 7) Is your marriage suffering cause you don't have time for one another? 8) Are you overscheduled, overburdened or overwhelmed? 9) Are you coping by using habits such as yelling, overeating, smoking or drinking and you want to stop? 10) Are you experiencing other challenges that you'd like help with? Let us know what they are. If you know a family who can relate and would be willing to appear on air in their real lives, please let us know and I shall forward the information to the producers. On TV
Good luck with it.

If they want a woman pulling her hair out homeschooling 3 special needs boys while managing medications dosages while she makes sure a child with food allergies isn't eating that food and that noone is choking anyone all while gettiing in her child's physical therapy exercises and that the asthmatic child is breathing and that the doors weren't left open for the bear to get in and and and...I'm their woman.  But it doesn't sound as though they're looking for me.  Besides, I'd have to clean my house for them to come in.

Dear Melody,

After reading your post sounds like you could star in your very own show.  You are a shining star to your children and that is much nicer than being on TV!

OMG!   You guys are too dang funny.  But you know, it IS like a sitcom at my house.  You are all invited over ANYTIME to watch or actually HELP OUT.

The bear comment...we live in a cabin in the mountains in the woods and a big black bear frequents our porch and decks.  I peed in my pants the first time he nuzzled his nose against one of our glass doors.  I was sitting on the sofa very close to the door reading to the boys.  Needless to say, we have thoroughly instructed the boys how to react (non react )if ever confronted by a bear.  Now that lesson in itself was hilarious.

Great opportunity

But,  with the exception my my 15 yr old runaway . . my household runs well, routines keep morning and evengings drama free . .  My time out chair keeps 7 yr old in line.

Although i could use the help with health, excercising . . .

Pity everything else is good so i don't meet the requirements. . .

Now if they were doing runway teens, teens that refuse to go to school or do as they are asked, teens who wreak havoac . . .then HELL YEAH . . . come see me....
