Until I married a man who says if you can pay some one else to do it why don't you.. LOL and he is a General contractor and builds houses for a living.. HMMMMMM

My dad is a massive do it your self man.. He is currently (Laugh if you want this is true) building a train platform on the side of his house to connect the house to his train which he has made into a spare bedroom with a bathroom..  Also they had brought a bath tub to put in the house bathroom, but the bathroom was to big, so dad stuck a couple of taps on the outside of the house and now they have an outside bath tub....  If you need anything answered I can always put you in touch with him.. My mother has cleaned up one of the old milking sheds and made it into a spare room as well...  She paper mached the walls for a bit of insulation and to stop the possums getting in...  It is fantastic they put old fence railings up on the walls...  Just wicked... My mum wants to put in the indoor bathroom corrigated iron for the walls.. She saw it at a pub once...

The hubby and I do our own home repairs and as many projects as we can on our own. Though installing a hardwood floor took the cake and we almost wished we hired someone. That is back breaking work! Anywho, count me in!

The only type of renovating I will be doing is replacing some cubboard door nobs.. They are all broken
