Hi Minti'ers,

Wow - what an interesting 48-72 hrs

I again took the unusual step of deleting another member about 10 minutes ago.

Unfortunately this member just couldn't help herself. She was even given a final warning less than 36 hrs ago.

Note: This member is the same member of about 9 months ago that was caught numerous times setting up multiple accounts and fraudulently voting up her own articles. Then and also at times since then she has been given at least 3-4 "final" warnings. Unfortunately her most recent activity is the hair that broke the camels back.

Please please please have the best interests of Minti in mind. I will continue to protect the vast majority of the Minti community and make sure that this site is a friendly and safe place for members.

Dear Clay and the Rest of the Minti Mob as I affectionately refer to you all;

This is a very sad state of affairs if members have this kind of time to set up multiple accounts and defraud the system. Even sadder, if we as adults have these behavioral issues, what the heck are we teaching our kids (even scarier thought really!)

I appreciate all that you to preserve the integrity of this site.

I'm not up on all of the details but the little that I do know says that you are only looking out for "us" and for the good of minti so, have at it. If there are things going on that should not, I for one am glad that you and Rachel and Matthew are watching over the goings on. Thanks for what you do, it can't be easy.

Hi Clay
the stress of the last few days could be enough to drive you to drink. What is the beer like there? Or are you more of a wine drinker?
I am currently sipping a small glass of alcoholic ginger beer from the Bush Shack Brewery (Yallingup WA). Natalya is finally asleep so I get to Minti with 2 hands!
Once again respecting your decision to do the right thing by Minti. Shame the member couldn't play by the rules. I got the impression she actually really liked Minti. She was like a boomerang the way she kept coming back. I know that you gave her lots of chances to play by the rules. Her loss for abusing your goodwill in giving her more chances than most people would have given her.

geez it must be serious for member s to get deleted. i hope it is good reasons like serious pretty sad for someone to be deleted from a website mmm?

if its really bad fine but if someone is speaking there mind well i think its ok

It amuses me in some cases people getting warnings or being deleted for retaliation should be both ways

Anyway just wanted to add that

Thank you for keeping an eye on those that wish to spoil our wonderful Minti, I remember the good old days of Minti and so wish to have them back and I'm sure having you as Sheriff all the baddies will be run out of town!

That is a surprise! She had started to comment on some of my stuff. Not to worry. If you cant play properly, dont play at all. That's what my granny said and she lived until almost 98.

The only thing is, I hope all the hoo hah about the rankings doesn't mean that they will be taken away. It is kind of a fun thing...as long as it remains a fun thing and people are not abusing the privalege. Do you know what - I have only just worked out that even though a comment has votes on it, you can still vote on it.......derrr! Well, I've always just seen the votes are already there, so skipped on past it and read what I wanted on that article. Didn't seem to make much difference though. I think the rankings are a lot more complex that we realise and Clay...dont every give the formula away, please.

Have a scotch, Clay. Minti is a great site. I always planned to do a mothers' group site, but this is far better and more powerful than I had planned. Fantastic. I have got so much valuable information from my Minti friends.

Oh well, it is sad that someone had the time and energy to go to such great lengths... Great for us that you took the responsibility and fixed things up. I have no idea who it is, and I don't care, the rest of us will work to make Minti a fun, friendly, helpful environment - and the number 1 parents blog!

Ranking what are they, it doesnt worry me if im no.1 or 500+. If i dont get votes nobody likes what i write its there choice. good job keep it safe

Why do we care so much about rankings. Do we always try to out rank our friends in the "real world". I just don't understand why it is so important to be highly ranked??????? Oh well I guess we all have a bit of a competitive nature and these things are going to happen.
