Hi i wont be ever coming back to minti.  I initally came for some advice and meet new friends.  Well i got some advise but havent met any friends it seems everyone is always busy with everyone else.  Good bye and good ridance to you all

once again its been awhile since i last wrote a blog.  Well my family had a fantastic christmas and new year.  Erin went swimming for the first time in our friends pool on new years eve and she loved it! it completely wore her out.  Erin also enjoyed her first christmas she didnt know what to do with all the presents she was overwhelmed it was really cute. 

Well the start of the year has not gone to good for my family.  My mother inlaw to be passed away on the 25th January 2008 we received the call while we where heading off on our holiday for the long weekend and had to turn around and come back home to start organising her funeral.  Jamie's brother was also away and was hard to get a  hold of but we managed.  Jamie organised as much as he could and we headed back on the road to go to on our holiday with all the kids.  The kids has a great time away as much as they could knowing that their Gran had passed away. On the tuesday we had meetings with the funeral director and the celebrant and they where really nice.  Jamie wrote a euology about his mum and as i did not meet her until her cerabal dementia was in its final stages i found out alot about his mother and how she was a great and remarkable woman.  She lived a fantastic life and always put her family first before her several different careers. One of her careers she was a teacher and also organised the matriculation tests here in south australia.  The funeral went really well it was a hard week as I had organised to have Erin's birthday party on Sunday the 4th of February and the funeral was arranged for the 2nd of February i asked Jamie if he wanted me to cancel her party but he said no as we were celebrating a closing of one life we still had to continue with our life and celebrate Erin's first year.

Erin's birthday party was a big hit we had about 30 people turn up including children.  We where going to have a bbq but instead i ordered several platters of cold meat, cheeses, fruit salad and chicken.  Erin had a fairy's cake and she loved it.  Here is a pic of her eating her cake.

Erin had a fantastic day she got a eletric quad bike and loves to ride around on it.

5 days after her birthday erin walked for the first time unaided she looks really cute and now loves to walk around everywhere.

Im so excited Erin has been teething for the last couple of weeks and she finally has both her bottom teeth through.  We had a few sleepless nights but it has all been worth it.  I had to take her to the doctors thou as she had major diarreha and anything she ate or drank would go straight through her so the doctor suggested that we take her off everything and only give her hydrolight and boiled water for 24 to 48hrs.  He said that because she is teething and she doesnt dribble she swallows all her spit she has a slight lactose tolerance to her milk as she cannot digest things that have slight sugar levels in it.  So we did what the doctor said and it only took 24 hrs for her to come back to normal so we started to give her milk again but only half of what she would normally have so instead of having 4 scoops of formula to 240mls of water she could only have 2 scoops for 24 hrs then she could go back to normal.  All is good now and she is so much better and happier now that her teeth have come through she is sleeping through the night again yippee.

We went away for the long weekend and took all the kids with us and had a fantastic time. Jamie took the boat and new motor up with us and dragged them behind the boat the had a ball.  We went up to Murray River with the Subaru club. 

Oh well its getting late and i must get going to bed i will give another update soon

Well alot has happened lately and i dont know where to start.  My mother in law to be has finally been placed in a nursing home she has servere demintia and has been at home for 5 years by herself after her husband passed away as she refused to go.  But it got to the point where she would go wandering and sometimes it has been overnight before we could find her.  She had high level care but that was only during the day for a couple of hours each day.  Since she has been in the nursing home Jamie and his brother have been sorting through all the families estate as niether one of them can afford to live in the house they have had several mettings with the solicitor and the accountant as they are thier mums power of atterny and they are selling most of the things in the house.  My partner is related to the Stirlings which had a major impact on South Australia and womens rights.  Alot of the contents of the house are over 100 years old just like the family home.  There is so much there that its hard to know where to begin.  They have already sold some of the books to which they got alot of money for just one book and they have a few more that have been collated together to be hopefully sold in sydney very soon.  The money that they get for selling the contents of the house gets spilt between jamie and his brother they are allowed to have straight away but as there mother has not passed away when they adventually sell the house and land that money will be invested and they do not get until there mother passes away.  Jamies brother has been staying at the house as we cannot leave the house with all its current contents as there is too much to loose if anything went wrong.  Jamie has had a few arguements with his brother as he would like to stay at the house as well currently his brother is living there rent free he doesnt even pay for the phone bill or electricity bill which is not fair he should be at least paying for the telephone and electricity.  HIs brother informed jamie that if he moved into the house then jamie and i would have to pay $600 a week rent as that is what it is worth if they where to rent it out, as where jamie and i are currently living we are renting and our lease is due to finish and jamie thought it would be a good idea if we moved up to the house and did all the gardens up and any other maintenance while we were there that would save alot of time and money getting workers in to do it all.  Jamies brother is a paraplegic and is not able to do alot of things. i dont see why we should have to pay rent when his brother doesnt his brother owns his own home so therefore he is not paying any rent to anyone.  i dont like it when jamie has been up to see his brother and his brother knows that jamie has been at work the previous night and jamie is tired so he picks fights and jamie cannot be bothered to fight back then he comes home to me upset and angry that his brother has caused an arguement. 

Well i think thats enough of me venting about jamie and his brother.

Well lately i have been in and out of the doctors as friday night last week we went out to a subaru club meeting and all was going well until the end of the meeting when i went to stand up i noticed that my ankles where swallon and very sore and when i mentioned it to jamie he noticed that my eyes where blood shot as well.  As jamie is a nurse he suggested that we leave asap so that i could get home and put my feet up.  I became extremely thirsty on the way home so jamie stopped at a service station so that i could get a drink.  The next day after sleeping all night i woke up and my ankles where still swallon so i called my mum and she took me to the doctors where we had to wait for 2 hours the doctor sent me off to get some blood taken and said to come back the following day to get the results.  So we go back the next day and wait another 2 and half hours to see a doctor and the tests all came back fine they couldnt see anything wrong so this doctor said that he wanted to do another test to check my thyroids so it was off to see the nurse again to have more blood taken and was informed to come back on monday to get the results.  i turned up at the doctors on monday and made and appointment to see the doctor that i saw the previous day and got told that he was running late and i would have to wait about an hour well 2hours passed and i was finally called in the test results came back normal so i dont have thyriod problems the doctor said that i have a common women problem of retaining fluid and he has put me on fluid tablets. 

on wednesday it was my birthday and my mum took erin, simone my step daughter, tahlia my niece all to the adeladie show.  we had a fantanstic day i won a huge pony for erin i have never won any big toys before.  simone, tahlia erin and i all went on the ferris wheel mum didnt come on as we had the pram full of show bags and she is affraid of heights.  Erin loved her first ride at the show as this was the only she could really go on as she is 7 and a half months old.  Simone went on a few other rides and then was sick as she made herself really dizzy but she said that it was all worth it.  Jamie took my parents and myself all out for dinner to end the day which was really nice as that meant that i didnt have to do the dishes for a day.
