So sorry to hear that but many of us can only respond to members who blog often and everyone on here has a life whether it be family or friends.... I havent made any friends on this site yet but i am always trying and hope that you stay a bit longer and blog more often so we can respond and get to know you better.

oh sweet.  I know how you feel.  I must say I thought like that to start with  - but you know what ? I found some truely beautiful friends here,  I am not "out there"  as lots of people are, however the friends I have found I love dearly.   I would really like to be your friend, I am not here all the time however when I am I love it.  This is a great site with fantastic info it would be a shame if you left.  I have found everyone I have come in contact with to be genuine & caring regardless of whether they are on my friends list or not.   Hope you stay  Rach.

Have you ever heard the saying 'Use it or Lose it?'  Well, Minti is a bit like that.  If you are active on the site, then people know you are here and can drop by, if you are away, as your activity says you have been, then no one knows what is going on.

I'm sorry that you feel we don't meet your needs.  I joined pretty much during your last absense, and because I was having a hard time adjusting to my expanded family, it took me several months to get the feel for the site and to make some friends, but I have been active on the site almost everyday now and I do try to reply to as many blogs etc that I can.

You are more than welcome to send me a friends invite, if you wish to stick around.  I'd send one to you but if you are leaving the site, then you probably wouldn't even know it had been sent.  Please go easy on the newer members, they are still finding their feet (rofl, as am I) and haven't been on here as long as you have.  Try and get to know members and blog more if you can, even if it is just about the muck you found in your fridge!  We love the daily trivial things that go on, makes us feel better too.

sorry to hear this but in all fairness jsut a couple of points i wish to point out. first and foremost there are thousands on site so its very hard to "see and read " every member.

second as just as importnat i personally  joined minti in november 2007 and now that i checked your member (because i honestly hadnt met you before) i see that you have only written one blog since november and somehow i "missed " that blog just as i probably have thousands of other peoples . 

i truly think its a shame to see you go .

So sorry you are leaving. I only joined this site in April and go through my friends most days as well as many of those who are not on my friend's listand have been astonished at the time I spend on here.I am a parent and a grandparent and I have found them all so Very friendly

How you view life is really a reflection of what effort you put into it.  If you put yourself 'out there' and add value to the site by commenting on other people's blogs, advice, photos and in Q&A, you will find that people return the same in kind.  This is how friendships form, and you find like-minded people who you can become closer to.

The choice is entirely yours... You have written this blog, and look at the response.  If the site and members really were as bad as you thought, then nobody would have replied would they?  It's your move now...

I don't get alot of friend requests.. I am the one who looks around and invites people to be my friend. It can be hard, especially if you aren't on alot.. Sometimes I'm not on for weeks at a time and others I am on every day (like now)

I hope you don't leave.. It's such a great place.. If you're more active, you will see that you'll start to get some invites.. I agree with what Izzy has said!!

it does take awhile for ppl to notice members names when they are new. a few tips? an eyecatching blog title helps*(as u may have just noticed hah)  or in capitals and if u would like to speed up getting to know ppl join one of the msn groups and get chatting! share about yourself and u will be noticed eventually.

Coey I can kind of relate to how you are feeling. ic ant say I have made any friends as such here either as yet, but in saying that I have not been overally active member for quiet some time. I have however recently started being a little more active and just do my blogs regardless of wether others read them or comment on them. I do it for me as a way of release.

I do hope I can make a few friends evetually and I am sure it will happen in time. Maybe just stand back and comment on threads and articles. Thats the only way people are going to learn about you.

I'm sorry you feel this way. There are a lot of people here on Minti and so part of making friends is making yourself visible to others. This is done by participating by making comments in other people's blogs, etc. This is also the way others get to know you. The more visible you are, the more people visit your blog and the more they know you.

I've just checked your activity and you haven't been here much. Should you decide to stay and participate, you will find that a lot of members will reciprocate.

It does take a while to get to know people on here. Unfortunately the only way to get to know people here is to get to know others and that means becoming active as the others have said. If you change your mind please send a friends invite my way.  haven't even got little kids and felt a little left out sometimes here when I first started as I couldn't be here that often having work and all so it took me a long time to get to know some people and also I made an effort to meet up in person with a group. Everybody has heaps of other commitments as well as there are some that have established some close friendships but there is a lot of different people on here. You may not get on with everyone but if you want to make friends here, let us get to know you. Either way good luck but I would welcome you as a friend and there are others who would to. Send some friend invites and be patient as not everyone come on every day so check when they were last online too!

Thats a real shame, but to be fair to everyone on here you haven't been that active, you will only meet and make friends with people if you put yourself out there and join in the fun...  I wish you well, but what a shame we didn't get to know who you are x
