Okay I might not know how to spell it But I sure do know what it is...i have never been one to be scared of what I have to say on things and to judge anything or anyone on their opinions...But you know what really irks me but in a way i think its funny...The people who hide behind the vote low with no comment...They know what they are doing...I would rather have someone vote my article down and leave their thougths and feelings and give reasons why than vote it down because I wrote it...This is how I see it...If there is no comment left then you are voting either on who wrote it...Or you are too scared to voice your own opinions for the world to see... so it looks to me and alot of other adults that it is just to give you satisfaction that you have marked someone down and hidden like a little kid that knows they have done wrong and thinks they have gotten away with it..LOL...I then go into my comments on ym article and someone has marked down a perfectly good comment for no reason...The only reason I can see they have is because of who wrote it...So this is my reasoning on this subject and the last I will say on it......

MARK ME DOWN ON STARS AS MUCH AS YOU LIKE BECAUSE YOU DONT LIKE ME I DONT CARE.....A VOTE IS A VOTE NO MATTER WHAT THE SCORE...IT STILL GOES TO THE END TOTAL AT THE END OF THE DAY...I KNOW I WRITE FROM THE HEART AND I KNOW NOT ALL OF US AGREE AND UNDERSTAND THAT BUT IF YOU WANT TO MARK ME A 1 2 OR 3 LEAVE A COMMENT GO ON I DARE YA LOL

Sorry if this blog seems childish to some but it will hit the people who it is intented for and might make them think next time they think they are getting someone back....

Have a great day all and the peoeple this is meant for they know who they are

Ive been with minti for a while and still have trouble understanding,votes and stars and all that.I couldnt care what other minti memebers do.But i will vote on an article and comment if ive found something in the article that is funny,helpful,inciteful.

Why all of a sudden is there mean words being thrown around and this member voted me down.I dont know how you would vote someone down in the first place...anyway i love minti and i hope things get back on track soon.Used to be a great site for help now all you see is articles accusing others of stupidity.

It seems to me as if these last few days this whole minti thing has turned into a childish squabble with the breast feeding debate and other issues about voting. Am I wrong? - I was under the impression this was a website to help with the very difficult and important job of raising children?? Why is everyone suddenly behaving like children?? What does it matter why people vote and not leave a comment? I have voted and not left comments, simply because I felt that with what has already been said, I had nothing new to offer. I do not have the time to sit and repeat what has already been said sixteen times. If I do have something to offer, I will add my comments. Not having a go at you Angie, but just thinking about how all this has been brewing the last few days. There is still a lot of good advice out there to be given. Lets all go about doing that, rather than worrying about votes and also without being judgmental in our comments. All we have to offer is our experience and opinions. None of us are perfect. Keep up the good work.

The only time i will vote without leaving a comments is when im going to rate it a 5 and everyone has said what i was going to say so there is no point to write the same thing over and over again. I will comment if i dont agree or i think i should say something but if its all good and everyone has covered it i dont see why i should leave a comment. Hummm,I have never voted without comment. I think that you kinda need both. I do think the level thing causes problems as some people care about the levels so do away with it. Or do we need something to ruffle about? Some arguements have caused chuckles...but when feels are hurt it's not worth it.

Hi Angie. I don't think that we should really care about the voting as this isn't the point of the site but I understand that it could be frustrating if people seem to be voting low when the content seems of high standard. Every article that I have read of yours has been top quality so I am a little surprised by this. I haven't noticed this behaviour probably as I am pretty slack and don't write advice, ha ha. I didn't know you could vote on comments, I have never done that and don't care if anyone does, I am trying to help but if they don't agree with me then that is up to them.

I have voted really high for people before when there spelling and gramma have been terrible but the content has been so good and they have poured there heart out as I don't like to vote down. If it doesn't interest me or I find it too hard to get through I would rather not vote. I am not saying that this is you but if people bring up the voting so much others that want to cause a stir will do it because they know it will get to those people. Does that make sense? They are just being childish so don't let them get to you as then they win. Let your advice do the talking mate. Votes are nothing.

Hi, I agree that grammar and spelling is not as important as content and when I do vote, I do not let the grammar and spelling influence me. The voting thing is just a side issue that has been getting a lot of people side tracked, I think. Either the advice works for you or it doesn't. Not all advice will suit all people and that is the strength of a website such as this - this difference in life's experience and outlook make it a rich environment in which some people may benefit from some advice and someone else doesn't. Lets all just get on and lets not get side tracked by unimportant issues.

Hi matey...I like votes on my advice...for this reason...I write about things that are important to me...I was upset this arvo about someone pettily marking down someone elses comment not mine....Let them mark them down I say but it does hurt people when you are saying happy birthday to someone and it get 1 star hmmm...

I must admit that I do vote sometimes and not comment but I usually don't vote people down at all. If I don't like it I just ignore it! Maybe a bit slack but I don't like giving people a bad rating!

I would never ever vote someone down cause of who they are though. I think that is rather immature. If its good (regardless of who it is) then rate it that way - I say.

I vote too and dont comment and in the whole time on minti I have only ever give a low vote on advice twice...For reasons I explained...I usually go with the don't vote now and it is rarely I mark under a 5...People put their time and effort into articles and usually their heart so...Why knock it down with a low vote i think...

Well yes it is pathetic, its kind of like when someone bitches behind your back because they are to gutless to say it to your face.... and to those people I say how special am I that they use their energy to talk about me at all.... if it is because some little and I repeat little person out there in minti land does not like you for some strange reason I say good for them they must be very sad bitter lonely little people..... Exactly right. I'd rather know if my article is of help or not. If so then I like to know why, if not then I like to why as well. If there is a fault in anything I've written, mark it low and point out the fault. I don't mind.

A good system would be if you vote you have to comment as well
But yep a vote is still a vote and when all things are added up it is the amount of votes you have not what people voted.
So take up the challenge everyone if you vote 1,2 or 3 leave a comment as to why so that we can all better ourselves.
