Hi My Name is Angie and I am 34 years old.

I am married with seven kids. My husband is a retired firefighter in the army. He had a pretty bad motorbike accident a couple of years ago and has been medically discharged.

Our eldest son is 17 and has been a handful for the past couple of years he is in the care of child youth and mental health as he is on medication for bi polar disorder. He is our wild child for sure but life is slowly coming back to resemble some sort of normality for him.He has moved out and living with a couple of his mates.

Next down the line is our nephew he is 14 and a bit of a rough boys boy. We have custody of him and his 3 siblings as we took his mother and father to court to get it. His dad is pretty good with help in raising him but his mum is ummmm.... Another handful hehe. He gets into a little trouble at school mainly from rough play getting a little out of hand.

Then there is my eldest daughter Michaela she is 14 as well. She is a fairly good kid people say if they were horror kids then they are good teenagers well I am hoping this is true because she will be a great teen then. She struggles a bit at school academically but has goals for her life and wants to be a lawyer and is aiming for it so fingers crossed lol

Now to my eldest niece she is 12 and has alot of problems academically at school and a few socially... Nothing that can't be fixed but we hope But alround a good girl.

Down to my 7 year old niece. She is such a little cutie and has alot of problems dealing with not seeing her mum tooo often. Her mum sees her when it fits into her life which is hard to explain to a 7 year old hey.

Down to my little nearly 4 year old daughter hmmmm........ Where do i start she is spoilt rotten as the older kids spoil her alot. I call her my little miracle as when I had her by c-section they found that i had a brain tumour because I had a spinal leak which allowed my brain to fall on to the tumour and cause pain allowing them to find it and remove it without having her they would never have found it so she is my miracle baby.

Then my little nephew who is nearly 2 we got him when he was 3 months old out of the welfare system as his mum had lost him at birth and we wanted the siblings together. We struggle alot with the fact that he calls us mum and dad but he does not see his real mum too much and his dad never.

I joined Minti for a few reasons.... The first reason I joined was to try to help myself with writing again and doing it in a way where people could understand it.... After I had my brain tumour removed I lost alot of the ability to do things that before I had no trouble with at all.... And secondly which probably should have been first hehe I think I have alot to contribute to a site like this.... My passion is parenting I love my kids alot my best buddy says on a regular basis if she introduces me to people that this is my friend Angie most people collect spoons but she collects kids..... Good one Deb.... I have had alot of experiences in my 34 years..... I have lived through Domestic violence.... I have lost a child..... I have had a brain tumour..... I have a child with Bipolar..... I had my first as a teenager....and the list goes on People are amazed with the relationship I have with my kids and I think it is pretty amazing really One of my kids teach me something different each day........ That is what I love about being a parent.......

Well that is a bit about our family a bit confusing I know but they are all like my own well they are I have had the oldest of my foster sisters kids for 6 years now and the youngest since he was 3 months so we have raised them mostly.
