Excerpt from "The Mom-Force, Volume 1"

This post is from from my other blog here

Here's an excerpt from our eBook, to whet your appetite a bit...

"What are the best kinds of work for the Mom-Force? Having thoroughly analyzed and in fact lived through most of the available options, I can now confidently break down the major work types and worker categoreis from least effective to most effective and desirable, by Mom-Force standards. You can and should make some effort to choose your work - it needn't choose you, because of simple convenience or because you're unwilling to try something different. Here's a summary (note this is not based on scientific research, but on my own actual experiences and those of others I know well):

1. Provide physical services: Laborer
2. Teach/Instruct in person: Teacher
3. Entertain people: Entertainer/Artist
4. Make and Sell things: Creator/Inventor
5. Sell/Resell somebody else's stuff: Salesperson
6. Direct/Manage/Supervise/Organize: Planner, Communicator, Leader
7. ....."

Myspace found 29,000 more sex offenders

by DadministratorComment Published at 08:0408:040 comments0 comments2 Visits2 VisitsReport
This post is from from my other blog here

...amazing, but really not surprising - 'nuff said; BE SURE you know whether your child's on Myspace or a similar social site, preferably they're not.

From the various new sources:

"MySpace.com has found more than 29,000 registered US sex offenders with profiles on the popular social networking website - more than four times the number cited by the company two months ago, North Carolina officials said.

North Carolina's Roy Cooper is one of several state attorneys general who recently demanded the News Corp-owned website provide data on how many registered sex offenders were using the site, along with information about where they live.

After initially withholding the information, citing federal privacy laws, MySpace began sharing the information in May after the states filed formal legal requests.

At the time, MySpace said it had already used a database it helped create to remove about 7000 profiles of sex offenders, out of a total of about 180 million profiles on the site."

This post is from from my other blog here

Looking around the WAHM/CAHM-o-sphere (CAHM = Career-at-home-mom), it's difficult to find good help. I talk a lot about my experiences in our eBook, wading through these sites and services.

Here's a brief table comparing some of the major resources against what we're offering - note our service is quite different than all others - with a REAL focus on making sure you work IN YOUR HOME, AROUND YOUR FAMILY, USING YOUR SKILLS.

Stroller Accessories Anyone?

This post is from from my other blog here

In our dual roles as Moms and Professionals, we can use all the help we can get - especially while pushing strollers and talking on the cellphone with our employer. The single best source compiled for unique stroller accessories, focusing heavily on "parent-invented" items, is at Slingwheels Stroller Accessories.

"Slingwheels" is a name given to a stroller accessory invention underway, as can be viewed to some extent at Parent Hacks.
