Hmm Aspergers and schools, grrr it makes one want to scream. Welcome to minti, it can be daunting trying to find ones way around, but promise you will get there. I would love to hear some more about your son. My Husband has Aspergers and I have a Daughter with Autistic spectrum issues. What are the school doing with your boy in relation to learning and confidence, do they have one to one with him, are they incorporating movement and encouraging interaction, engaging the other children in understanding your sons issues. Does your boy have ocd's, is it a problem,  does he get overly frustrated with outbursts, or is he a withdrawer. How is his co-ordination, is he clumsy and having difficulty with fine motor skills, or is he a wizard on the technicalities of engineering. Children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders all have gifts that need to be tapped and encouraged, have you found you sons special talents. Please feel free to share, there are quite a few Minti Parents with children or family who have been through or are going through just what you are facing. if we have an insight we may be able to share some of our tips for getting through.
