im so confused!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Comment Published at 01:5301:5319 comments19 comments52 Visits52 VisitsReport

What teh hell do i do? im gonna send myself crazy. So like ive said im having pains, and now everytime i go toilet my underwear is wet. I put a pad on and i go toilet and then 5mins later the pad is wet, i odnt know if im wetting myself or what. Im not in pain right now, just uncomfortable. I feel bubs pushing down and everything else moving upwards.

I havnt eaten dinner yet so my bf is puttign the bbq on now, i dont want to call teh hospital yet cos i rather have eaten dinner before i go if i have to go.

But can this be labour if im not having pains right now? i dont want to go to the hospital and its nothing. I had cramps all morning and all afternoon ive had the stabbing pains in my vagina. I have not seen any blood and nothing is tinged pink at all. Im also getting the discharge ive been getting. I feel like throwing up, i dont know what to do.

people must think im dumb that im sitting on a computer when i could be in labour but im not in bad pain, i dont feela s if im dying or anything. Im gonna stop rambling on now and see what happens.

Ohh yay, back pains have started.

IM SO CONFUSED!!!!!

Re: im so confused!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Dannii! I had the same thing for 24 hours before I went to the hospital - the wet pants and no pains until just before I left. I hope everything is moving along nicely for you & bub will be here before you know it!

Re: im so confused!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hang in there!  You are not crazy!  My sil was on the phone to my hubby when she was in labour - she would just stop every few minutes and take a few breaths then keep going.  Why not stay home and be on Minti if it keeps your mind off it?  It is quite normal to keep doing things for a while and in my experience labour is quite manageable until the last few hours - keep moving, rest as much as you can, sit upright as it is more comfortable, have hot showers and be careful what you eat (I vomited in labour and so did my sil - freaked everyone out as she had been eating cherries and the vomit was all red!).  Keep your fluids and your energy up and good luck!

Re: im so confused!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sweetie, you are in early labour.  The fact you want to throw up says it all.  Don't eat anything that is heavy in your stomach or you will be seeing it again very soon.

The fluid you are talking about sounds like you have a slow leak of your waters.  Being clear, sounds all good.  It may happen for a while yet, but you should also notice as you lose more and more, your tummy gets loser, much like a balloon that has been blown up and is starting to deflate!

I really wish I could be there with you.  Damned country, why does Melbourne have to be so far away from Gympie? lol.  Oh, and I'm getting fidgety for you, have been the last few days, so I don't think you are going to be much longer before meeting your little man.

Re: im so confused!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like how I started my labour with Kathy.  I did not have pain with the contractions, the pain started when they gave me the pitocin, and the contractions were really intese before that and they did not hurt.  I also was feeling like I was wet all the time cause she was right on my bladder and so I could not hold anything in.  And that back pain, called back labor, it's worse then when it's in the front.  Sounds like to me you are in labour, eat something, but not to big and then go to get checked.  The stabbing down there could be your cervix streching with the contractions and ashton pushing on your cervix.  Good luck, your almost there!

All the best Dannii

Its not uncommon for waters to break as a small trickle rather than a gush so I hope its good news for you and it won't be long

Re: im so confused!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YOU ARE NOT DUMB! ! ! No one is so stop saying that . .

I DO think that you should pop along to your local hospital and be checked over, they will NOT think you are dumb either .  I went through this with Sumara as she was engaged at 24 weeks and stayed there. It be be just that your wetting yourself without knowing BUT its good to check . .

A good way to tell to is to smell your undies or your pad as if there is a slightly sweet smell then YES your waters are leaking and you need to get to the hospital asap. If you smell nothing you should still be checked BUT if it smells like pee then you have your answer . .

Please keep us all informed . . .

Cheers Kellz

Re: im so confused!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It certainly sounds as if you are in labour so if you feel like eating go to the hospital after you have had something

This happened with my 2nd child and i had her the next day as she did not want to come out to see us all lol lol. Well i hope when you read this i will have read some news that you had bub safe and sound and not too long in labour.

Re: im so confused!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How exciting Danni! Stay calm. Like everyone else has said, go to the hospital if you feel you need to. My pains started slow and I didn't realise I was in labour til a few hours before I had my first but does sound like the waters leaking so good luck and so happy that it could be nearly here for you. Just came by to check up on you too! All the best, Lynette xx

Re: im so confused!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I was in labour with my first, I'd been having really annoying pains all day, the weren't very painful just annoying and uncomfortable. I went to the hospital and got checked out, they sent me home as I was only in the very early stages of labour. The point I'm trying to make is that no matter what stage of labour you are, they're there to reassure you and they don't mind at all. If it puts your mind at ease then go, at least then they can tell you if you are starting labour or not.

Re: im so confused!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Danni

I agree with the others. It does sound like things are happening for you! With my first, I had pains like I needed to poo (TMI sorry), and kept getting up all night to wee. My back was also killing me because he was posterior.

Make sure you put a plastic bag on the seat of the car when you go to the hospital - apparently the smell of your waters can be hard to get out of the car seat! I did this with my second when my waters broke at home.

Good luck with the birth. Can't wait to see a photo
