Could it be any easier!!

This post is from from my other blog here

We are due our 6 month inspection where we live and all we need our son to do is 3 things, just 3 things. The way he is carrying on it's like we asked him to climb mount everest! Put his lego in his box, put his books on the shelf and put his clothes in his drawers! Easy, yep totally easy! But he doesn't want to and has given us permission to throw everything in the bin....hmm a possibly good idea, lol I know he likes to live in chaos-apparently this is what most ADHD suffers do as it means they can see all their toys at once but making it unable to be walked on-his floor I mean is getting abit tedious! Come on lad-help yourself and do as we ask!! www.AnimalAgentz.com http://darkangel6976.stumbleupon.com

Oh boy I so relate. Sometimes my son will argue for half an hour over something he could have done in 10 minutes. The work is less work then the effort he takes to get out of the work if you know what I mean. Hope you get those 3 things done from him. Don't give up! Lynette xx

I wouldn't ask him to do anything that I knew he was uncapable of doing. I have taught my son to put items away and I would usually have asked him to do more than the 3 things so he got off lightly!

I meant you are asking a lot (tongue in cheek)... I am sure you wouldn't ask him anything that he wouldn't be able to do.  It is great that you have him being responsible and helping with his own tasks.

You are asking a lot!  We are staying with the inlaws at the moment and MaxiMe (26) just got asked to do a similar task... MicroMe (2) already does a better job - men, they are lovely, but messy creatures.
