gosh this is now the second time i have written this the first blog didnt save aghhhhhhhhh

as its written on my page im a mother of 3 boys

i have 15 year old twin that till they where 13 had seperation axixety

it was soo hard to raise them alone , they never wanted to sing songs play games go to the park read books .

my youngest turns 2 today

hes just the opposite .

hes been able to catch a ball since he was a year old and he is fantastic at kicking them to the right place also

hes been reading 80 words and now counts to 20 he also knows the whole alphabet

i write most of my own flash cards and try to repete the words with him every day

hes just lernt some xmas ones . God Angel santa Presents please thankyou Amen

hes such a spounge that he gets bored and i keep having to think of new things to keep it all fun for him , hes aced all the planets also he knows what they look like and to what name they are

ive started to turn my video tapes into dvds so that i have a libary of them

i watch the old ones to see how far hes come into reading etc,, im a very proud mother and hes got proud twin brothers

im scared in a way that he will just get bored of this all and stop wanting to learn

has anyone been through this or has any advice on this ? does anyone know of any dvds that i can get to help him more ( not barney ones etc,,)

Wow he is very clever.  My oldest daughter was reading the alphabet at 2 and by the time she had finished preschool was reading at a grade 3 level.  Her school (public school) allowed her to complete grade 1 and 2 in one year.  My suggestions would be to also allow his creativity in other ways.  Craft, sport, using his imagination, learning about the countries in the world and flags, that type of thing.

If you do a search on "gifted and talented" there are heaps of websites to look at - one of which is http://www.gifted-children.com.au/index.html.  You may get some information from this one.  Good luck!
