no sleep

Comment Published at 15:2715:275 comments5 comments47 Visits47 VisitsReport

with everything that was going on here yesterday my son started with his usual fever again ,, we both didnt get much sleep as i had to make sure all night that he was given meds every three  hours ..

i slept though the the three hours mark and he was winging and i felt his shaking next to me ( that woke me up ) hes due again for another dose very soon ,,,

its only been two and a half weeks since the last fever and that was on mothers day ...

its back to the specialist again very soon (  poor bubba)

no doctor can tell me this is normal for him to be having fevers like this since he was 8 months old ..

why cant the specialist know whats wrong with him ? and what to do ?

has anyone been though this ? please let me know ..

Re: no sleep

you poor thing my heart goes out to you and your little one

i am at the other end were charlie can't seem to keep his temp above 34.5 but never goes below the 34 mark the only thing that we can do is just keep him in warm outfits even when its hot too.  and know one can tell us why this is happening too.

good luck and i hope you find out soon as it must be a great worrie to you

Re: no sleep

there must be something thats causeing our littles ones to be going though this ,, like i said to my doc the process of ellimination they have to go though everything and then some more,, this will be our third specialist and hopefully our last also ..this time hes also going to have x-rays done on his chest etc,,

i was told i could go on a waiting list for the childrens hospital to have free tests done ,, but i dont think we can wait anymore its been ongoing for too long now  ( i also think about all the medication what it might be doing to his little tummy) .. i know this is going to cost an awuful lot ,, ( money I dont have )but when it comes down to our children what choice do we have ?

there must be other cases like ours somewhere ..our little ones surely cant be the only ones that having been going though this ,,

I hope you also find out as to why your childs going though the other end of the scale xxxxxx

samples

went to the doctors again yesterday with my son , he started to shake with his fever and was down in the dumps,, ive got another referal to a new specialist to take my son to and they will do every test they can think of to find out whats going on with him ,,

Im glad I have made up a fever diary as the doctor thinks it was a great idea to show the specialist what he has been though in his young life so far,,

Finally she has now said ,, this is not normal for him to be getting the fevers soo much and high ones also ..( something ive been saying for 8 months now)

I was told to collect his wee wee ,, in the sterile container yesterday ..

not an easy task this one ,,

i had him on my lap rugged up with nappies off ,, i had been sitting with him watching tv for over two hours when he farted and looked up at me i laughed  he said its ok mummy ,,

then i felt something wet on my legs aghhhhh ,, he pooed all over me ewwwwwwwwwwww

after i wipped all that off and cleaned him up and sat down to try again for the wee sample and hour later i was fighting to keep my eyes open and he was also falling asleep .. he woke up and said its ok mummy its ok ,, and then did wee all over me ,,,

i missed out on the sample lol but my pants got it ,,

i have to try again today ,, but this time im going to be smart and put a change mat on my lap haaaaaaa
