Worst Night

Comment Published at 18:4818:483 comments3 comments19 Visits19 VisitsReport
Well I've had one of the worst nights ever. Sophie woke at 11pm 12;30am and then 2.30am, I had to pick her up. I put her my bed and she still wouldn't settle. I gave her some demazin and a little bottle. I thought she was teething yesterday and also has a runny nose. nothing would comfort her. She'd lay down and sleep for a bit, then want me to cuddle her. This went on for hours. Finally I had enough and sent a text to my husband at 5am who was working and asked him to come home asap. It wouldn't bother me any other time it's just that I had to go to work today. Anyway he came home at 6am. We were bothed passed out and he took Soph out of our bed and let me sleep till 7.45am. I don't know what is going on maybe she is growing aswell. It really sucks all this changing all the time. She is going to my mums tonight, but I don't want to send her if she is going to be like that again. Will wait and see. Gee I have a great husband he is the best.

Re: Worst Night
Oh poor you... We have had a few weeks of this lately ourselves with colds, flu, teething, ear infections etc.  Unfortunately, 90% of the time, it is Sunday or Monday night, and I work on Monday & Tuesdays.  Just part of the joy of parenting, and it really is good to have support from a nice man!  See how lucky we really are?  I hope that Soph improves, micro man is snoozing on his little couch with his toys as he was too sick & upset to go to bed or settle on me.

Re: Worst Night
Nights like these happen from time to time and Im sure your mum will manage fine remember she will have her experience of you to fall back on. She may be teething runny noses are also common. With my four I would treat the symptoms to keep them happy and rested so they were less distressed. Pediatric nasal drops to clear them, bojella for gums and baby panadol as required.... all four are fit and health adults :-) I wasnt over medicating but I believe sleep is essential for growing children (and they have so much growing to do) and being miserable because of teething etc isnt much fun for anyone.
