Where is this month going already. We only have 7 weeks left till we fly to the UK. I better pull my finger out of my butt and start getting organized, well save some money.
Sophie and I have just spent 4 days down at my friends farm. She was great slept all night long. It's so relaxing down there. But I've come home to a bit of a dilemar. 1 of my best friends is going out for tea and drinks tonight for her birthday. And I said that I can't go for A- We need to save money and B- At the time I had no babysitter. She has now cracked the shits with me. Now she is a single girl with only herself to think of, by that i mean't no family comitment. I love her but I don't think she understands I don't know.Today on my way home I thought I'd stop into her shop and see her, well that seemed to be a mistake. She was quite sort with me and her step mum was rude. I' m just over this we are grown people and friends shouldn't act like that. Not sure if any of this is making sense, but had to get it off my chest.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend.I might take the kids to the pools tomorrow as ours is not warm enough yet.

Wow, I hope you have fun in the UK. Does it suck that as exciting a trip/vacation is, it's such a hassle that there is a chore of packing to go along with it.

Re: Saturday

I understand. i have 'lost' a few friends who didnt understand that I just cant drop everything and go out with them anymore. But I think she should just act like an adult. She might be upset but there is no reason to act like a child, like you said, friends shouldnt act like that.

I hope you ended up haveing a good weekend anyway!

Re: Saturday

Hey Tracey, I bet the 4 days on the farm would have been great, might have to sneak in your boot next time. Hee Hee. could really do with a break atm.

In regards to your dilemma, I lost a lot of friends when I had Anthony by my choice as they just didn't understand family committment, and would call at 1 in the morning asking if I wanted to go out. Omg I want to sleep. (This was not long after Anthony was born) I wouldn't suggest cutting yourself off from your friend but maybe give her some time to get over it and to maybe be able to comprehend the fact you can't just drop what you are doing and go out with her everytime she wants. I am sure you may have asked her (pre children) to go out and she has said no to you. A friendship is where both parties put in 100% and understand when the other just can't be there! I know you already know this as you are a great friend. Just look at the time I called you in tears. I had no one else and you were there to offer a shoulder, advice and sensibility.  Try giving her a call in a week or two (if she hasn't called you first) and try to sort things out once she has calmed down. Hope you's can sort it out and the rest of your weekend is a good one. (Not that there is much left to it. lol)

Karen & Anthony.

xx.
