Well with working full time having the kids in hockey and piano and soon gymnastics, and taking four courses at the local college/university I tell you life isn't a bowl of peaches right now.  I am hoping once the kids are evaluated and on hockey teams and that I am into a schedule for my homework that  life will seem a little less hectic:)  And to top it all off I am now 20 weeks pregnant...ay yay yay:)  it's all good I can do this will do this and everything will be AOK:)  hahah, how was everyone's summer?  What did you all get done?  Was it fun?  Anyone go anywhere interesting?  Anyone busy for the next couple of months?  How do you handle such a busy schedule?  I know I need to make time for my kids and believe me I do outside of everything else....can you imagine;)  hahah kids are really loving the game Yahtzee which is soo cool coz I LOVE that game too!!  Kids are really loving the board games I h ave to go out and buy a couple more!

I have two wonderful step sons.....but I have trouble with one more than the other.  One of them likes to test his limits with me on rudeness and pushing my buttons...I hate to get upset with him but at the same time I don't like how he makes me feel.  I have tried to talk to him about it but he seems to clam up and just answers me with a quiet yes or no or a nod of the head....sometimes when I do get upset with him....by confronting him with his actions and letting him know how it makes me and others feel, he gets upset and cries and I am scared this is pushing him away even more....goodness me, what to do??? any advice???

Hey there, So we thought we would be fostering by now and just when we had our homestudies in place, we find out we are PREGNANT!! WHOA!! Wait a sec here, our youngest is 5 going on 6 going into grade one, so just when we thought YAY all our kids would be in school full time and at the age where they can all do quite a bit for themselves we find out we are having a baby.  A shock but we are finally getting excited about it.  I am about half way and excited that I can take a year off for Mat leave.  the year of mat leave will really help especially since I will be going to school full time this Sept.  We shall see how being pregnant going to school and working full time will work out for me....EEK i know seems like alot but I have a great support system, well I had to get that out of my system.  hahah send a line and just say hi if ya like!!

New to this site, would like to check it out and see if advice is valuable, or not so valuable......sometimes the stuff you think isn't so important is the most valuable....typical, murphy's law isn't it?  Well to all you out there, feel free to blog....some advice I would like to get is on fostering

 I am going to be entering the new world of parenting a foster child,  I am excited and nervous.  I my self was a foster child from a young age and had such a great loving family who still are a part of my life full time:) and the care this family provided for me and my siblings, I want to be able to share as well:) Any stories to share, up and downs..

Also step kids, never said it was going to be easy, just thought it would be easier, how do you keep things fair without it being such a big deal about being fair, we want things to be fair, but not have it be such a big deal.  I love all our kids and wish I could have the kids know that too.....

well so much for my first short blog....its turned into this, at any rate, can't wait to hear back from anyone and see what sort of things Ill get back in return....
