Foto Friday ... Fun in the Sandbox

Comment Published at 08:5908:5910 comments10 comments451 Visits451 VisitsReport

Daddy was doing yard work so we went out to play in the sandbox.  There won't be too many more days warm enough to do this.

I love her smiley boots.  I used to have a pair.

Great Boots.
I used to have Kermit wellies. Where did you get her smiley boots from?? Amy's trainers have little hearts and flowers on the soles and she loves to see her footprints in the sand.

Great Boots.
We got them from a family in our church.  They gave us a whole pile of girls clothes and footwear.  I don't have any idea where they got them.

Cute picture of your daughter

That's a very cute picture! Looks like she's having fun in the sand!

Actually reminds me of a show i watched on TV.. It's called "HOUSE" and there was this little boy who played in his sandbox and there was something wrong with him and they couldn't figure out what it was. And finally towards the end of the show, they found out that worms were in the back of his eyes and how they got there was from him playing in the sand box.. (cats poop in sandboxs and sometimes cats have worms) so thats how it all happened.. Scary.. I think thats why I will not let my daughter play in a sandbox when she gets older.

Sorry... I just had to tell it, as people would like to know..(it may be not true, but it could be)

I saw that, too.  Although our sandbox has a lid and we bought special play sand, so no cats or cat yuckies.  Actually I've only ever seen one cat walking around our neighbourhood and that was only once.

Sand play is so much fun.  I would encourage you to get a sandbox with a lid.  This one only cost $10 at ToysRUs.

We have all sorts of things running around our back yard... Skunks are the worst. You open the back door and always take a big smell before you let the dog out...   I am told that we have racoons as well, but I have never seen any....   I must say though I prefer these animals running around then snakes (Ok they don't run but I am sure you understand why I'd prefer one over the other... )

Yes very cute picture.. Yuck story Ally... Ewww.. By the looks of things this sand box will have a cover for it.. Oh yes any sand box my kids have will also have a cover on it.. Way to many cats in this area allowed to roam free....  And that was before you told us this story.. I am so grosed out..
