I am a 26 (nearly 27) year old mother of 1 beautiful little man!!! Dru is 3 years old now, and the apple of both mine and his fathers eyes!!! I recently returned back to work after having 18 months off (and what a busy 18 months it was!!!) in that time, we relocated from one end of the state to the other, had to get used to the different climate... alot warmer up here in Mildura... and then Dru started rolling, crawling, talking, walking and standing!!! It was a matter of if you blink you will miss out on something!!! My father always told me that time goes by alot quicker as you get older, and me being the know it all teenager that most of us are.. thought he was pulling my leg... so he told me that I would understand it better when I have children of my own.... so of course now I realise that my silly old dad did actually know what he was talking about...
My partner Dan, Dru, Woody (our lab/retriever) and I make up our happy little family (soon to expand hopefully!!!) which keeps us all very busy, there is never a dull moment in our house!!! |

Well today was an exciting day for my lil man!! He started at his new "school"!! We are calling it school instead of day care so he can decifer which place he is going to!!!
WEll he could not shove me out of the door fast enough, all the kids there and then they were serving his favorite cereal for breakky (Weet Bix) so he couldn't have been happier!!!
Hopefully he is as happy when I go to collect him!!! fingers crossed all went well!!!
Will let you all know tomorrow what the verdict is!!!
Other thant that nothingreally exciting has been happening in our household, we have just had a nice lazy long weekend - celebrated Australia day with a roast lamb!!! mmmm yummy!!! had some friends come and visit for the weekend so it was relatively quiet but exciting for us all the same, good to have a catch up and and a chat some times!!!
Anyways better go and collect the men!!!
keep on smilen!!!
Cheers
Chelle

I would like to welcome every one to 2007.... hope that all your hope and dreams come true!!!
Along with millions of other people I have made my new years resolution to be healthier eat better, exercise more and with me doing that, hopefully I can lose all the excess baggage that I carry due to my being in "my comfort zone.." I did things really backwards and lost weight while I was pregnant, then after having Dru I started to gain weight... go figure!!!
So this brings on my determination to lose the weight again!!! Also the heathier you are the more chance you have of falling pregnant also.... so when the time comes I can't blame myself for not doing anything about my size (a little late to shut the gate after the horse has bolted I know... but better late than never!!)
So fingers crossed my determination stays the same as it is now!!!

Hi all and welcome to my minti page.... I apologise in advance if I ramble on as I am very new to this "blogging" thing... I will try and update as often as possible (no promises on how often though.....)
Hope everyone enjoyed christmas!!! I know I did, until the afternoon hit and Dru decided that he was a big boy and didn't need to have a sleep!!! My gosh did he throw the biggest tantrum I have ever seen!!! Makes you feel like a fantastic mother when your child does that in front of the family or heaven forbid in the general public!!!
We have tried to keep the shopping outings to a very minimum as he is at that horrible selfish age, that he wants everything and when you say no it is like the end of the world as we know it for him, so of course the tears start and the screaming, then all the old ladies walk past, and you can just feel the daggers going into the back of your head as if to say what the hell were you thinking bringing a child here.. as much as people try to say that they are child friendly, when it comes down to it, they are not and it is highly frustrating!!!
I don't know about anyone else but we used to enjoy going out for a meal and a movie before Dru came along, and as all things change when you have children (as you would expect) everything seems to have come to a ccomplete stand still in the way of dining out etc for us due to an enormous lack of child friendly places... so for the time being we just remai home bodies and entertain at home, that way we can put Dru to bed when he needs to and he has all of his own toys and things to play with.... and maybe when all of the kids have come and gone, we might start dining out again.... although I must say I am enjoying the entertaining at home as well... |
