During that time i have learnt to find myself once again and be a stronger person. My husband Sander and I are working on our relationship and so far it seems much stronger than it was before. We now have 3 wonderful children, Keandre, Lealiki and our newest addition Kaizer

Yes Its A Boy ^_^

Comment Published at 16:1516:1513 comments13 comments39 Visits39 VisitsReport

Just to quickly blog and let you know how i am doing. Yes i did have baby on the 5 November 2009 at 8.16pm. I was pretty happy with how i handled the birth... LOL.. and that it went pretty quick

They were definately contractions i was getting that morning and i texted my son's bestfriends mum at about 7.30am to warn her that today might be the day as we organised for her to watch the kids which she was so happy to do. Everytime i saw her she would say if you need anything just call, even if you want me to take the kids away for a few hours etc... (that was during my pregnancy)

By lunchtime i decided to ask hubby if he can take the rest of the afternoon off from work so he can pick up Keandre from school as i did not feel like driving to pick him up if this was it... lol...then he was able to drop the kids off at my friends house at about 4.30pm when she came home from work . The kids were so excited that baby might be coming that night and that they get to sleep over at there friends house on a school night... lol...

Anyway i've been timing my contractions as i wanted to be certain they were contractions...LOL... I was still unsure as they varied from 3 - 15 mins apart... and by 5.30pm they were about 3 - 7 mins apart if i was counting them right so i decided to ring the hospital and see what they said. I did warn them earlier that morning that i thought my contractions were coming and they told me how to count them and if they got closer to call again and maybe come in. I hesitated at the moment in whether i should go in now or hang on a little longer as i wanted to be sure... hahaha.... as i did not want to be sent back home if nothing was happening yet

When i got there the midwife examined me and said "wow your doing  a pretty good job here" I guess referring to the pain as i was already 6 cm dialated! I was just glad that I wont be sent home now… LOL… They started me on the gas for pain relief which actually was such a relief considering I went that long without it as my contractions got stronger. From then on it was kind of a blurr as I drifted in and out of my lovely less painful world… hahaha…. Soon in no time I had the urge to push and was totally sniffing in that gas. The midwife who delivered our baby was a guy and I recall him saying to me to stop breathing in the gas so much so the baby can come out quicker as the gas slows it down. I do remember saying to him “NO WAY” and held onto the gas for dear life... hahaha...  but then I thought ok if it will quicken the birth I wont breath in the gas every second… hahaha… eventually when I did that our little baby boy finally came out at about 8.16pm.

Hubby was able to cut the cord as he asked before hand if he could as with the other kids they never did ask if he wanted to do that. I guess it would be an experience he would never forget.

Unfortunately I had to get stitches but im not sure what kind of tear I had, though it was internal. Luckily they continued me on the gas as they stitched me up as the Doctor was unable to give me a local for that certain area where she had to stitch me up because it was deep. Though another area she was able to give me a local aneastetic. Overall I guess the stitches were not as bad as my other births.

Anyway, here he is….

KAIZER AMARO

(His name we found in a baby name book like my other kids. Kaizer is Bulgarian for Caeser and Amaro was Native American for “strong”)

Weight: 3.4 kg

Length: 54 cm

OMG This Is It!!!

Comment Published at 15:3215:3211 comments11 comments26 Visits26 VisitsReport

Ok... today is the day, im pretty sure of it... LOL... Im here typing this blog as i am getting contractions

They actually started early this morning, im not sure the time, might of been between 2-4am i got up to go to the toilet to pee as well as my lower back was aching a bit. Got back to bed and from then on i could feel cramps coming and going but not that noticable as i just drifted back to sleep thinking its nothing cause i have been finding it very uncomfy to sleep the last week. Anyway i woke up as usual and still feel the cramps.... I immediately think "OMG this is it" but then i didnt want to get my hopes up... LOL... I went to the toilet and there was a very bloody show... YAY... sorry... LOL....

Well i guess this is it then. I've been timing my contractions you can say and they have been between 7 to 15 mins apart, pain lasting about 10-30 seconds. The pain is not that bad but i can feel it getting stronger too. I guess now im just waiting for the right time to call hubby to come home and let the hospital know that i am coming in... LOL...

Well i better go and walk around a bit as sitting down isnt really helping... hehe... til next blog i probably be introducing my new little addition

Today Is The Day!!!

Comment Published at 15:4915:498 comments8 comments27 Visits27 VisitsReport

Yes today is the day baby should be born but looks like he doesnt want to get evicted yet... lol... So here i am still waiting for definate signs of labour to appear. Sometimes i think ok here is a sign, this must be it but then after a while nothing... hmm... so frustrating... lol...

I guess it shouldnt be too long now. A couple of weeks ago i've been getting some braxton hicks but they seem to of dissappeared now and dont want to appear again. The other day i started to get a bit of a cold all of a sudden, one friend said it could be a sign of labour coming cause of my hormones that produced to bring on labour interfere with your immune system, so your body puts up a fight, which i never knew before but i think it might of just been me having all the windows open at night and sleeping with no blankets and apparently that night got pretty cool... lol... I do sometimes occassionally feel a bit of pressure down there when baby moves and seems to press on me which i read that baby presses on part of your cervix where it has rippened a bit, so i guess that could be a positive sign too that my cervix is rippening and getting ready.

Oh well, I guess if i dont think of it, it will eventually happen... If baby doesnt appear today i know for sure he will definately make an appearance within the next 10 days, thats how long they let you go past before they will induce you...

Fingers cross that it will happen soon... til next time, hope everyone is well and take care...

Waiting...waiting... waiting...

Comment Published at 20:2320:230 comments0 comments5 Visits5 VisitsReport

Yep im still waiting for baby to decided when he wants to make an appearance... lol... My due date is next Friday 30th so im here waiting now to see if he wants to come out early or late Other than that all is good. I thought baby started to quieten down a bit in movement but i was wrong... he was so hyper last night/early morning having some sort of party in my belly! My midwife said on Monday when i had my check up that baby's head has move 3/5 down so he is slowly moving into position, I think that she said that is as far as he would go til im ready for labour, then he will move his way along some more. Im starting to feel move braxton hicks which i never felt with my other pregnancies. Im still monitoring my blood sugar level even though i do not have gestational diabetes. My GP just got so worried the last couple of months with my blood sugar levels going up and down, up and down... so he sent me to a dietician/diabetic educator who has then got me to monitor it since. Im use to monitoring myself now and i dont mind doing it. In a way its good to see where my BGL stands and that im in the healthy range a majority of the time and if i did go over, i know why because of which foods i have eaten which kind of makes me more aware of what i eat and that it is healthy. Which is good in the long term.

Anyway, not much else is happening. School holidays are over and i cant believe how quick they went by. Was kept busy however helping my son with his first major school project which he had to do during the holidays. I couldnt believe he recieve such kind of homework in Yr.1. Normally i would expect it in Yr.3 which i recall was when i first did my first project which i had to research somthing. Well there project they had to do was research a form of transport. They had to describe it, how it works, different types, safety rules and what you can use it for. Keandre decided to do it on motorbikes because we own a motorbike and thought it would be good to take photos of the different parts of the bike etc... for the project. I did however experienced alot of tears from Keandre when he was trying to write out his sentences to put in the project. He is such a perfectionist and hates doing mistakes or if the letter he wrote was not good enough, he gets frustrated. But eventually we got it done. I got him writing it in a notepad and then cutting it out if it was perfect to stick on the cardboard. Well we were glad when we finally finished it and handed it in yesterday.

The second major project he has to do as part of the Transport theme they were studying was to make a wearable cardboard box rally car which is due next week. That was much more fun for him to do as he loves creative stuff. In a way i did most of the work (i wonder how many marks i will get)... LOL... but he helped me design what he wanted... I think we kind of went overboard with the back bit where he wanted a big exhaust with heaps of boosters... hahaha as you will see in the photo below. But overall it turned out pretty good. All i need to do is put some shoulder straps on so he can wear it.

Anyway that is it for now... hopefully next time i blog baby has arrived... hehehe...
