Teenage children have little respect at this age. They are in between finding their idenity. But theres no excuse for violence. Just let her remember is it wasn't for you, she would be alot worse off.

She needs something in her life, such as an activity. i.e Swimming, youth group. Something to keep her mind busy. One of the main problems is people her own age, with the "don't listen to her" atitude.

Sorry to hear you are having such a tough time. My MIL has had to place one of her 4 grandchildren into care. At only 5 years old he was trying to burn down the house and his school. For the safety of the other 3 grandchildren she has care of she had to place him into foster care. He too was sexually abused when younger.
I hope that you are getting more help and support from the social services people than she has been getting in New Zealand.
It is a very tough thing for a grandparent to take on a damaged child. I feel for you and wish you well with it.
