Have had E (my daughter) with me whilst painting for the past three days working on a system of treats if she is good for a period of time.  I cannot imagine how tedious it has been for her with me concentrating on painting a room and not something fun with her, she has painted some too, and we took along toys and stuff.  On the first day she played heaps in the nursery garden, but as nursery have been in session for day 2 and 3 she has had to keep inside and out of their way with wahtever we have brought from home, usually a toy, her diary and a selection of crayons.  I am bursting with pride for her, she has achieved each of her treats and has cost me a fortune in her special drinks which was her most popular treat (thank the Lord it is only 30p).  I am so glad that she is good and know sto ask for the toilet and all those other things.  I dont know what i would have done if she wasnt so sweet tempered!  LOL

What a few days it has been!!  We spent the whole bank holiday monday painting that room, it is massive!  We did one coat that day, then came back here to watch a movie till the girls parents came back from their bank holiday fun.  Yesterday we spent the morning painting and accomplished coat 2.  Today we touched up some areas and went to get more paint ready to do coat three tomorrow.  Have decided to do the room purely white and then buy 'disco' type lights to shine up the walls so they can have the room whatever colour they want it; simply by changing the filters.  Should be great if they are allowed to invest in the proper lights and filters for the job.  Plenty of power points, so that wont be a problem for them.  It is quite exciting seeing it come into being.  It still needs to be cleared with the powers that be that they can have the room, but we anticipate no problem in that area.

Wow, finally online here.  Registration email took three requests!  Obviously a computerglitch - dont you just love how much we rely ont hese things and yet they so easily get it wrong and make our lives 'more difficult'?  Oh dear, I have to laugh, else I am sure it would make me frustrated. 

This weekend has been lovely and quiet, we went to church this morning and tomorrow will be painting theroom in the Old Vicarage that has been given to GHQ (church youth group that I am leader of until we move).  There is a distinct possibility that if we are organised enough we will be able to have it ready to host the 9/11 prayer room in there also, though the vestry is much smaller and quieter and will be easier to decorate. 

Have worked out a treat system for E tomorrow so that she will behave and amuse herself all day while we tidy up and paint the room.  It was so cool that the girls swept through and also mopped the walls on Thursday.  It meant I could also mop on friday and then we could allow it to dry over the weekend and start painting tomorrow - yay!  I am really happy about this opportunity for the group. 

Anyway, i have a few more boxes that I have discovered and can pack, so off for loads of fun there.
