Lunchbox....

Comment Published at 08:0508:050 comments0 comments4 Visits4 VisitsReport

It is so hard to come up with creative things to put in our kids lunchbox everyday.  I don't know about your kids, but mine get really tired of a boring turkey or ham sandwich.  Here are some of the things I do at my house, maybe your kids will enjoy them too.

1.  Peanut Butter & Chocolate Chip Sandwich - this is without question my son's absolute favorite.  I must confess, the first time I had one of these was at a ladies luncheon, only they used Hershey bars!  Yummy!!!

2.  Turkey Pepperoni - I just send little slices of this with cheese and crackers and they build their own little sandwiches.

3.  Soup - I usually make a couple of different kinds during the week.  My kids love for me to heat these up and send in a thermos to school.

4.  Leftover Pasta - This is also great heated up and sent to school in a thermos.

5.  Pimento Cheese - send in a little container with crackers.

6.  Strawberries with powdered sugar

7.  Frozen Go-gurts

8.  Variety of sliced cheese with crackers and fruit - they get their very own fruit & cheese tray this way.  For instance, today my daughter took Smoked Gouda, Smoked White Cheddar, and Colby/Monterey Jack cubes in her lunchbox today, along with sliced apples and grapes.  I put in a couple of cookies for a treat.

Hope this sparks some new excitement into your child's lunchbox!
