two year olds and afternoon naps

Comment Published at 06:5206:520 comments0 comments17 Visits17 VisitsReport
As I sit here in the kitchen writing my first blog, my two yr old son is single-handedly dismantling my kitchen.  I am putting off the inevitable time ( which was about a quarter of an hour ago!! ) when I should take him for his afternoon nap. This will involve him having to make up his milk drink alone, without me trying to help because he HAS to do it alone and then to put him down in his cot.  He has recently taken to chatting for 50 mins of his hour long nap before eventually falling off to sleep for me then to have to wake himso he doesn't sleep too long! Tried him without his nap at all a couple of days ago as thought he may be growing out of it but he was then hysterical at tea-time, so know hedoes still need it. Am now going to go through the long, long process of assisting him in his milk and nap routine! so bye for now!
