All the kids really enjoyed them selves and were really excited about catching the train. We weren't allowed to take photo's as now the privacy act or something is in where you have to get permission from the other parents if there's another child in the photo etc, but there were so many children, that you couldn't help but get another child in the photo, so sorry that there are no photos.

I'm disappointed that i couldn't take photo's etc, but that's ok. We left just before 9am and went walking to the train station, and caught the first train that come on our side of the platform. We then went all the way into Adelaide, and caught a free bus to Light Square, where it was all happening. It had all started when we got there, but the kids enjoyed it. There was a few performers and the kids really loved that and joined in singing etc.

Then it was time to go. We spent about 2 hours there, and we got a tram back from Light Square to right outside Adelaide train station, and walked up to Mc Donalds for an icecream. The kids just ate them in no time. They thought it was a fantastic treat. They also got free food at Light Square, and thought it was awesome.

It's been a long day where the kids were always going to the toilet but it was all good. I bet the kids that went will never stop talking about it tomorrow at school.

Over all, it was a great day, and will love to help out again on an excursion as we all had the best time ever. Hope you enjoyed reading this as much as i had the fun.

Im glad yous had a great time with the excursion. It totally sucks how the laws these days now, cant even let you take a photo as a memory keep sake. Oh well, what next will they band...

glad it went well kerri...and i havent been on a train ride for quite afew years, im jealous ....mmm...about 20yrs i believe lol...is that bad??

hope you make it to the tram to glenelg ride very soon with your little one......if you havent done it by xmas lets do it together when we catch up .... thats something in adelaide i havent done

Don't have to be jelous. Didn't miss much trust me, but to see the kids faces on the train was priceless. They were all so happy and excited.

I see it as you've never had a reason to go on a train, so i don't think it is a bad thing that you haven't been on one for 20 years.

Yeah for sure, i'd love that. I think i will leave the Glenelg tram ride until it gets a bit warmer if that's alright. Miss5 has a bit of a cough that she can't shake off yet, and the city was pretty cold today.

Have a picnic at the beach maybe. take care.

Yeah, they loved the train ride to the max. They were all excited and we combined with another school which isn't too far from our school, and they all got on so well which surprised some of us.

I'm hoping that the rest of my week is good too. Thanks cazza. I hope your week will be awesome too.

Yay!! Glad that you both enjoyed yourselves heaps!!! I remember the excursions that allowed us to go on the train but loved the ones where we had to catch the tram to Glenelg!!! Shame about the photo's but at least you have the memories that will last a lifetime!!!

Yeah, i thought it would've been a drag today, but it was quite a good day out.

Yeah, i haven't been on a tram as of yet to Glenelg, but will be taking miss5 there very soon i hope on a weekend sometime. She'll love it i'm sure. Will take a picnic etc.

Yeah, i was hoping to take photo's to upload on here and to do some scrapbooking with. Not to worry.

I'm glad it went well too. I thoroughly enjoyed my self, and would love to go on another excursion with her again when the oppportunatey arises.
