School visits are a hit with my 5 year old. She cried yesterday when i was leaving, and she cried when i came to pick her up as she didn't want to leave.
She's really coping well at school, and settles in really well, which i'm really pleased at. She really enjoys play time on the play equiptment, and story time.
I can't wait until Sarah starts school. She's also looking forward to it, as that's where all of her friends are. She's not really coping well at Kindy this term as all her mates are at school now. We think that she enjoys school alot better than kindy.
I can't believe she's growing up so quickly and so fast. It was only like yesterday Sarah was born. Time flies too quickly. |

We had a great easter. Even though we stayed home, but that's the way we like it. We don't really like going out anywhere, as i don't like to drive anywhere as there's too many idiots on the road especially on public holidays etc, and it turned out to be a tad warm for us anyways.
When the kids got up, they opened up their pressies and ate choccie eggs for breakfast ( and which is the only time they're allowed to eat chocolate for breakfast ) and then the eggs they had left over, they did a little easter hunt for my youngest daughter, and she thoroughly enjoyed it, and i was so proud of the older kids to do that and give up their eggs for her, and to make her extra happy.
We just sat outside and the kids played footy and mucking around, and they really enjoyed themselves and relaxed to the max. It was just a fun day. |

Remember when i said a few weeks or 5 or so ago, that i was having trouble with hubby and financial trouble etc, and how he was going to therapy etc, well, he's coming along quite well now, and his attitude as improved so much, that i'm starting to trust him again, and starting a little to respect him again now, and the kids can see a change in him also, and are starting to treat him better now, but it's still going to take a long time to fully trust him again, and to respect him as much as we did before all this saga happened.
Me and the kids are feeling alot better now within ourselves and getting more confident in ourselves. He hasn't stuffed up yet, and he's trying really hard to get his life back to the way it was, and he does certainly want us to trust and respect him again. That's a great sign i think.
I'll keep you posted again next month. Thanks for listening. |

I hope you all have a great day, and don't work too hard, or get too hot in the heat. Today in SA there should be a cool change coming this afternoon. Lets hope so huh?
I'm just having the best day so far. Had a load of corella's in the trees across the road, and there was more than usual this morning, so we were standing outside out the front watching all the corella's in the trees, then flying off, and coming back.
There were a few people who stopped and got out of their car's to watch them this morning, as their was so many, and a few people took pics too. When they flew off, they were so noisy, and my youngest was squeeling her head off as she loves animals as much as i do, and the other kids were fascinated by it as they hadn't seen so many of the corellas together in the one spot either.
It was totally awesome watching them. They're still flying over now, but not as many. |

I've written Claycook a minti mail why i said all the things i did, and have discussed it with him and given him some options he might like me to do with the blog, and it's up to him now with what i do with the blog, and just basically told him i needed to vent etc, and now just waiting for a reply from him, and what ever choice he makes, ill agree with the outcome.
I'm sorry about the blog, and if it offended anyone, but i just needed to vent, and i should've maybe kept quiet, or put the blog in a different way and the way i said it.
Hope you all enjoy the rest of your day.
Kerri.

Sorry for the rest of Australia, and the world, but i've started up a group called Adelaide's own freecycle group. I've explained in there what it is all about, and hoping to get more people in there in the near future.
So if you're from SA, please join the group, and we all can swap lots of things. |

I created a new group not too long ago, and thought i'd spread the word about it. It's called Adelaides own Freecycle group. I've explained the details in there, so hopefully there'll be a few more members in there by the end of next week. Please, if you live in SA, go and join up please. thanks in advance |

I think my daughter will absolutely love school. She gave me a hug and kiss this morning, and just went inside her classroom with out any hassles, which is a great thing for us all. She gets the extra visit on Wednesdays for half an hour while she's at kindy, as it takes her just that bit longer to get used to places etc.
She won't have another school visit until after the easter break, so i'm hoping that she'll be ok after that going back to school. |

I've noticed that not many people reply in blogs anymore like we all used to. Is everyone's blogs getting too boring, or what other reason is there??
Or i could be boring in my blogs LOL
I just want to hear everyone's opinion on the matter. This is something i have noticed a few weeks ago, and i was and being curious thats all.

and there's hardly anyone on the road. Less than normal. It's great as it's so peacefull, and quiet. Hardly any kids on the road either, but that might be due to the hot weather.
Is it hot anywhere else in Australia, or is it just hot in Adelaide today? Are we the only one's getting the heat wave?
It's a great thing though, as the kids are doing homework quicker, and they've even cleaned up their rooms again, and they're all tidy, and clothes put away from yesterday's washing. My kids don't like the heat either. |

Just wondering if anyone else is doing anything for Adelaide cup day? We're not as it's going to be another scortcher of a day, and me and the kids are just staying home, and hubby has to work for about 6 hours, as the only days he gets of work is Christmas Day and New Years Day the poor bugger. If it was cooler, we might have had a BBQ and salad, but not a big party.
Is there anyone from interstate coming over aswell for the Adelaide Cup Day? |

It's going to be in the high 30's, low 40's in temperature in SA until next Tuesday. I can't handle the heat, and i get all cranky, and niggly, and i can't help that. I do hope that everyone in SA that is on minti has an air conditioner to relieve you from some of the heat that has hit us, and will hit us for a long time.
I have this feeling that we won't be having a cold winter, as it will most likely still be bloody summer. I get upset easily also, and not very sociable in the heat.
So i apologise now in advance if i come across a little cranky in advice etc that i give in your threads and topics. I don't mean too. Just tell me ok, and i'll apologise, and you can delete what i've written too.
I hope you all aren't suffering out there. Try to keep cool. Take care. |

My 4 year old daughter went to school today for 2 hours on her own. It's a part of the transition from the kindy to the school Apparently she loved it. The only time she cried was literally not even 2 minutes before i got there, and then she wanted to stay at school. LOL. I think she'll love school big time, and i recognise some of the children there in her class who went with her to kindy, so that's a great start.
I cried when i got home for a couple of minutes, then went outside and just sat down for a few minutes when a friend of mine came around for about 45 minutes. It was great to catch up with her and had a really good chat. She know's who she is, and it was good to see you again, and talk.
Kids grow up so fast don't they. I remember when S was born, and it was just like it was yesterday. Can't believe my baby is growing up so quickly. |

Miss4 goes tomorrow with one of her kindy teachers over at the school for half an hour, just to have a look around the school, then on Friday she goes with the other children to the school for the proper school visit for 2 hours.
My youngest takes just that bit longer to get to know a place, and new people, as she's a little shy, so that's why she's going for the extra visits inbetween the proper school visits. I think she'll enjoy it so much, and won't be able to wait to tell me when i pick her up.
I think once she's gone for all the school visits, she will love going there. My little baby is going to school. I know im going to cry. |
