My 5 year old daughter decides to wake up at 2.30am in the morning, and comes and wakes me up, and asks me if she can have the television on. I told her no. She started to scream and carry on like there was no tomorrow.
I told her to get back into bed, and get over it and she can wait until it's a civil hour to watch tv. Then she carried on again, and wanted to sleep in our bed. We let her. Then after about 10 minutes of her wriggling around, she decided she wanted to go to the toilet, so i told her go then, but mum and dad are staying in bed.
I was half awake by now, and must of dosed of with out realising, and i wake up to what i think people talking outside our window, so did hubby, so we both look out our bedroom window, and no one there. We went to walk to the front door and noticed a light on in the lounge room.
We noticed she had turned on the television, and she's fallen asleep watching it. Poor bugger. We put her to bed and turned the tv off. We weren't in bed 10 minutes when she came back into our room and started yelling at us to why we put her to bed and turned the tv off. We explained to her she fell asleep etc, but she wouldn't have a bar of it.
By this time it's 4.20am and still no sleep as such, so i decided to put her in our bed, and i was firm with her and if she didn't go to sleep in the next 10 minutes she'll be grounded for 2 days. All that she did for the next 20 minutes was play up, laugh and carry on, so i got out of bed, i put her in her own bed and i was firm with her and told her off, and her face just dropped, and i told her no tv for 3 days.
I went off and went to the loo and got a drink, and by the time i walked past her bedroom again, she was fast asleep. By the time i got to sleep was close to 5.30 and had to be up in an hour to get the kids ready etc. so i'm kind of tired and grumyish today.
Has anyone else's children ever done this before? Or is it just mine driving me insane. LOL |

It's been a long week for us at school and home. Never thought we would all get through the week.
The party went well today and ate alot of food and bought home most of her lunch and recess, so i know she ate alot at the party.
Miss 5 is happy enough and not even her left overs from recess and lunch, so she must have had fun like the other children did in her class.
I'm just glad it's the weekend as we all have lots of things to do, and hoping to come into minti more often now, and not to slacken off.
Hope you all have an awesome weekend.

and the boys had to bring sweet things, and the girls savoury, so i took in a plate of sandwhiches for my daughter to take. So sweet it was, as everyone bought in something, and the table that they had to put the food on was filling up fast.
They love parties, and i forgot to take my daughter's plate of food in at the beginning, so i told her that i'd go back home and make up something and come back with what ever i decide to make. When i came back the the plate of cheese and vegemite and just vegimite sandwhiches, she was totally wrapped.
She was so happy i did this for her, and i felt guilty because i forgot, and some of the kids cheered when i bought the plate of food for her.
I had to go quickly so she wouldn't get upset, and she gave me another kiss and cuddle and went of with her friends again in the classroom and went of to do what she was doing. I'm glad that she's settled now in the class room and made a heap of friends. Just rests my mind easier.
I'm sure she'll tell me all about the party once we get home this afternoon. |

Miss 5 got a little upset when i was about to leave, then her teacher distracted her from me, and she was fine. I'm sure not even 5 minutes after i left, she would be laughing and playing with her school friends again, and back into her old routine of school.
I thought i would've got a little emotional, but no, i didn't. I was shocked. LOL. I came home and sorted out all her clothing, and toys, and put the things that are too small for her now and toys she either hasn't played with for along time or to old for into shopping backs and now in the back of my car until i drop them off at the op shop.
I also went for a just over an hours walk too, and im beginning to really enjoy walking too. I have found that i'm losing some weight along with the walking. I don't notice it, but hubby and family do. I try and go out walking every day. Just makes me feel refreshed.
Anyways everyone. Must go and eat some lunch now. Hope you all enjoy the rest of your day. |

And they have been married for 47 years. That's a long time isn't it? July 15 they were married and still together. Never been divorced or married to anyone else. It's a great milestone i think.
In 3 years time they'll be married for 50 years, so i was going to have a discussion with my oldest brother, and organise the biggest party of them all, and send out invites to all the people in England to join in the celebration and send them out at the end of the year so they have all enough time to save up for the airfair ( if they're coming ) and to the people living interstate probably 18 months before, so they've got time to save also, and the invitations to all family and friends about 6 weeks before, and i would like this party to be HUGE.
Our parents have done so much for us, and this is my way of giving something back to them, and it'll be THE biggest surprise party ever. Hoping they'll be stocked about it when the day arrives.
Well done and congratulations to my parents for last Tuesday. |

and the older kids want to go back, as they were getting bored at home etc, but miss5 is getting a little clingy and upset again, but once she settles in at school, as see's her friends again, she'll be alright.
I know she'll be teary for the first few mornings, but that's to be expected. I can't believe that this is her second term at school. My little girl is growing up big time, and i know we have a close bond, and will always stay close to me, which i will love and cherish for ever.
I've done all the house work, got her clothes ready, and now some time on the computer until i start dinner in about 2 hours time. I've just got to get her lunch and recess ready soon and stick in into the fridge ready for tomorrow.
I hope everyone else is enjoying the rain today in SA. I'm sure as hell loving it. I love winter and the cold wet rainy days.
Enjoy the rest of your day.

It's done nothing but rain. Luckily enough i've done some homework with miss5 and she's keeping herself amused inside, but might have to take her out the back shortly to do something different.
Crazy i am, but she's all rugged up warm, and she loves the outdoors. We just tend to watch the rain fall, and out back is mostly under shelter with the carport and verandah, and the mesh stuff, so all is cool.
We both love to watch the rain, thunder storms, lightening etc. I've got her used to it as when she was younger, she was totally scared, but we took her out there, and got her used to the thunder and lightening.
Hoping everyone else in SA is enjoying this weather. |

I really appreciate it very much. I don't like reporting things, but my advice came in the wrong place yesterday, and didn't like where it ended up on the page. So, a very big thankyou for voting it off quickly and to all who voted it off.

And for her first term at school, i thought she did pretty well, and her report is something really something to be so proud off.
We are really all proud of her report, and she will get treated big time for this. The other kids have done well aswell, which is great also. I'm so proud of them all.
Even the comments that her teacher left was a really great report, and i'm so happy with her progress in school and that she's settled right down so quickly. I can't be more proud of my children right now especially my 5 year old. |
