Son Number 1, the Thomas Freak has been at it again. Today he escaped from his daycare centre. No I am not making it up. I realise this is starting to become a theme of my blog spot. I am starting to become known as that ‘mother’ (formerly known as Kelly).

Let me start at the beginning. I was going about my daily business for Nuvo Maternity when I get the call from the daycare centre. "Hi it’s Tania here, just ringing to let you know that your son climbed over the child proof fence but don’t worry he’s fine now". Oh, boy he we go.

She then proceeded to tell me that he waited patiently for the staff to collect him and was at no time in any danger.  They have never, ever had a child scale that fence before or as quickly and now they are going to have to install a new fence to contain my son. Oops!

Wait it gets worse… Tania then tells me two other parents witnessed the scene and she now has to ring and explain to them that the centre’s playground is safe for their children. Well he has always been a good climber for his age I say. Quite advanced really.

Yes I hear you say, I have become the mother the staff at the daycare centres talk about. But you know the funny thing is I couldn’t help but laugh as I could imagine the proud look on my son’s face when he would  have scaled the fence. That’s my boy - Oops Bad mum moment.

So please, all you mothers of girls out there that sit and colour, spare a thought for me. I try, really I do….

Now where’s my glass of wine…
