We were informed a week or so ago that hubby is going to be going to Afghanistan for a year.  The real kicker LOL is that he leaves next week.  Can we say running around crazy tring to get everything done that needs to get done.  Going to mss that guy!!

Summer holidays have begun here in Hawaii.  Been busy with organising passports and swim lessons.  The girls have swim lessons through June and then (say a lot of prayers for us) I hope to be able to take advantage of the military flights and visit my family in Australia.  It has been almost 4 years since I was last home.

Had a busy morning this morning. The Honolulu Zoo had a military appreciation day with the USO so we took the girls. Free addmission, lunch and ice cream ... And as well as the animals they had live entertainment. It was a really nice way to spend the morning and the zoo is actaully quite nice. Going to the base pool (a change from the beach cause there has been a tiger shark hanging around LOL) this afternoon and then to the movies tonight (five of us will cost a total of $6 to go ... Much better than what it costs out in town)

 

Hot and humid this morning but how can one not love living in Hawaii. 

Hit and run on the base last night.  I am praying that the runner is okay.  Sad to hear that someone can be self serving enough to drive off and leave a man bleeding on the sidewalk.
