potty

Comment Published at 21:2521:252 comments2 comments21 Visits21 VisitsReport
bub is nearly 2 soon and still does not use the potty i have found some advice and there are a few inventions to help like apparently a musical dvd about poo it stinks etc and things for him to aim at if I put them in the loo but just the basics for now would be helpful. Where do I put potty? cold tiled laundry next to toilet or loungeroom where he can be warm and watch tv? and then there are concequences if he wee's on carpet as I rent  also when do I put him on? when I go or the latter plus random I was told every 30mins through out the day ?? umm I do have things to do!  I wish lil man could talk to me but for now its a guessing game

Re: potty
I think you answered your own dilema. Why potty train before your child can communicate, their potty needs.? I dont think a child can get the hang of it until their little muscles are developed. I think firstly they have to be aware they are wet,and have done a poo.I also feel it would be less forced and more fun, if the little one can ask and have questions answerd. My first was 3 when she was happy to use the pot.She had fun collecting stickers. Our two and a half yr old is just now coming in with the wipes and changing mat,so I will go along with this until she is ready to try the pot.She does have it,but spends more time playing with it and her dolls.I would always follow your childs lead, they will push it themselves when they feel confident.Good luck.Luv Winnie.

Re: potty

My little man is two and is the same he will not use the potty but the other day he followed daddy into the toilet and then wanted to copy daddy so we are going to get a step so he can go whenever dady does and maybe he will finally get the idea hope this helps.
