Pretty good day today, all in all. Gracie spit up and rubbed it in her hair so i had to give her a bath without daddy(he works nights so he was asleep) for the first time. Jason usually does all the bathing and changing of clothes so i was kind of nervous. We got through it just fine, no problems at all, pretty good considering i had almost no idea what to do, luckily she's a good bather so there was no fussing on her end. Then i got her out of the tub and dressed her and about half an hour later she pooped through her clothes so i had to clean her up and change her all over again...it's like she just doesn't want to stay clean! I read the answers to my question about how to make it easier for Jason and Gracie when i go back to work next week, and i'm going to talk to him about taking a more active role in the parenting when i'm around so they can bond more. That's been bugging me for a few weeks now, that he doesn't seem to want to do anything when i'm home, like i can just do everything all the time. It's kind of funny, he has that sort of attitude, then he wonders why she cries when it's just the two of them. Hopefully he'll take the conversation well, and understand that i'm really not trying to nag him, i just want him to have the relationship with Gracie that i have cuz it's the most wonderful feeling in the world to have. Gracie also has been sleeping better(as in i don't HAVE to hold her the whole time she sleeps). She's only about 7 weeks old and i might be expecting too much(we're first time parents), but this is a really nice step in the right direction for her. I hope tomorrow is just as nice. |
