Well I cannot believe it has been over a month since my last blog. I don't know where the time has gone.

Let me see, where to start...

Work-started working 2 days a week and am fully into the swing of it now. The early start can be a bit strenuous dealing with a 2 year old but we are doing fine with that. I am enjoying being around adults and stimulating my mind thinking of nursing and patient care and all that jazz. I have already started getting bossy boots and am thinking of ways to improve the unit. Is a good thing, but will see how the other staff take it. But all in all, I am glad to be back at work.

Daycare-Harrison has settled quite nicely into daycare. He has a buddy he plays with on Mondays and one of the girls in his room he adores. He talks constantly about daycare and even asks to go on days I am not working! He is even asking for her over the weekend. It is good and he doesn't mind being dropped off in the mornings which is good. Often get a bit teary on pickup but thats all good cuz we are heading home.

Sleeping-slowly Harrison has gotten back into his normal routine. He is now going to sleep on his own again. Occasionally we get whinging but for the most part, he goes without a fuss. He is a bit sick at the moment so we have had the occasional late night wakings, some quick to go back to sleep, others takes a while. And at the moment, it seems as if he is sleeping in a bit later. This morning was nearly 6 but that is better than the 5 we were getting. Went to a class at Ngala (sleep school) that deals with sleeping issues for this age range kid. Class called "now in a bed ". Gave us some useful tools to have when dealing with these issues. One thing that was very apparent in that class was that we don't have it as bad as some others! I think our issues were the least of the ones there.

Yes, there is always someone in a worse situaion than you and it puts it in perspective. I'm glag Harrison has settled down for you, just when you will be needing your sleep too with your new job! Lucky timing!

It was nice (for us) to see we weren't so bad off. Sucked for them though. Either way, Harrison seems to have gotten back into his groove which is good for us. And yes, it does help that I am back at work and his sleep has settled. It sucks working on a day after a rough night.

It sounds like everyone is settling in nicely. I'm sure your work will be happy to hear of the improvements you can come up with.

I think Harrison has a girlfriend! lol. I bet he is very sweet with her too.

Sleep issues, seems you are getting there with those. We have traded our good little sleepers for gremlins who want to be awake all night! lol. Sleep, can I have the definition of that word please? lol

Hey Arna,

The saying "sleeps like a baby" is the stupidest thing ever mentioned. There is no such thing...sometimes they do and sometimes they don't...and just when you think you know what is going on...it all changes.

Work is good, daycare is good, and we are all pretty happy. Is good!

Where does time go? When don't you like being a bossy boots? How do you like to be stimulated... ohh er, that is enough! So glad to hear that things have settled down for you on both the homefront, daycare and work - woohoo! You have been so busy, it is no wonder that a month flew by without a blog. Will be around more for sure...am getting into the swing of things with work and family again. Just took a bit of time for me to organize myself again. A bit different when you are at home 7 days a week with little to do...

It is nice to be able to get out and work and get some adult interraction, I know after I had Luke(3) I was needing so much more than when I had Zak(7). Plus it helps when they love Day Care, you worry much less. I'm so glad Harrison is sleeping better for you, they sure know how to drive us crazy sometimes. Ngala/ Tresillian is great isn't it! The midwives there are the best. I remember when I was there with Zak, I thought my situation was bad enough but seeing some of the other mum's and their situations was scary.

I would recommend the sleep school to anyone...valuable resource.

And I am loving work, and you are so right, harrison enjoying daycare makes it much easier.
