Just an update

Hello everyone.  Sorry for not visiting lounges or sending emails.  I hop on nearly every day and read blogs and check up on everyone but usually don't comment.  Am here in spirit at least.

Well, Harrison is back to his normal mischevious self.  Eating is much better!  Just have to be creative and keep trying things for him to eat.  His sleeping has been great so no complaints there.  He is loving my family because they are showering him with attention.  We had a dinner here the other night and I don't think I saw him most of the night.  Too busy with Aunts and Uncles and cousins to worry about me.  It was heaven!

Dean is feeling better which is great.  I had a few days of crampy tummy but seem to be over that.  Getting back to normal which has been great.

Grandma is doing really well.  She seems to be recovering from the stroke quickly.  The facial droop is almost gone and her speech is pretty much back to normal.  She still has significant weakness on the left side but the physio has said that she is improving.  She has carers with her 24/7, but she had that before.  And she is starting to treat them like servants again so that is a good thing, lol.

We are heading off to Mexico on Sat and I can't wait!  I dont' know if the weather is going to be much better than it is here but will be nice to be away.

The other day it snowed on the mountains behind my dad's place...well Tucson is surrounded by 4 mountain ranges, this one is to the north of the city.  Tried to upload photos but it won't let me!  Darn.  Will try again later maybe.

Also went up to see the cactus that we planted as a memorial to my mother after she died.  When I lived here, I would go up every year birthday and mothers day.  And when I came last year when Harrison was 3 months.  Every time I go, I try to take pictures to see the growth of the cacuts.  It looks great.  Was nice to see it again.

So at the moment, it is about 1340 on Thursday.  Harrison is sleeping and Dean is out with my dad getting stuff ready for the trip to Mexico.  Buying Pesos and getting Mexican insurance for the car.  We are having a great time.  And time is going way too quickly.

Take care all and will be back after our trip to Mexico.

Bye-Angela

Hello...

Just dropping in to say hello.  Have been busy and hardly on the computer at all.  Very happy to be here with my family.  They all are just in love with Harrison.

Our trip over was ok.  Harrison only slept about 4 hours of the 15 hour flight from Melb to LA.  And then he crashed on the flight into Tucson for about 45 min.  Went to bed that night around 1845 and he slept until after 0800 the next day.  He took a few days to get over the jet lag, being tired, but is now on his normal routine.  His eating is crap.  I don't know if he is sick (he vomited 2 nights in a row) but goes on to seem fine during the day.  But he isn't eating much.  But he also doesn't seem like he is overly hungry either.

I thought for a minute he had weaned himself from the boob (what was I thinking).  The second and third day we were here, he didn't feed at all.  Then he got sick and now wants it all the time!  But, I would bet he is moving in that direction.  Boy can't wait for that to happen.

Well, my grandma was released from hospital before we got here only to be readmitted with stroke!  Poor thing.  Anyway, she is at home now and hopefully she will be on the mend.  Tonight we are going over for a generational family photo.  Grandma, Dad and his sister, brother and family, and me and my family.  4 generations of Graydons.  Exciting.

I just came down with a bit of either gastro or food poisoning.  Dean isn't feeling well today either.  They went to the Arizona Sonoran Desert Museum and I stayed home and slept until noon.  Dean is now in bed while Harrison naps and I am hoping he feels better.  I am disappointed I didn't go.  My mom's ashes are scattered there.  So I made sure Dean took Harrison to the cactus garden to say hello.

Not too much is happening which is good.  Have seen a few people and am having a relaxing time.  Hope all is well for you my Minti friends.
