Attitude
There once was a woman who woke up one morning,
Looked in the mirror,
And noticed she had only three hairs on her head.
Well," she said, "I think I'll braid my hair today."
So she did
And She
Had
A
Wonderful
Day.
The next day she woke up,
Looked in the mirror
And saw that she had only two hairs on her head.
"H-M-M," she said,
"I think I'll part my hair down the middle today."
So she did
And
She
Had
A
Grand
Day.
The next day she woke up,
Looked in the mirror and noticed that she had only one hair on her head.
"Well," she said,
"today I'm going to wear my hair in a pony tail."
So she did
And
She
Had
A
Fun,
Fun
Day.
The next day she woke up,
Looked in the mirror and noticed that there wasn't a single hair on her
head
"YEA!" she exclaimed,
"I don't have to fix my hair today!"
Attitude is everything.
Be kinder than necessary,
For everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.
Live simply,
Love generously,
Care deeply,
Speak kindly.......
Leave the rest to God
Take care,
be safe,
good health,
God bless!

Well, Harrison and I are home from Perth, as of saturday. That flight was delayed as well!!! Qantas!
Anyway, Harrison chose not to sleep on that flight either so he was very tired when we got to Melbourne. Dean took him to the car while I was getting the bags and he was asleep before he even left the parking garage. Had a nice nap on the way home. Woke for a (breast) feed and then a (food) feed and then into the bath and back to bed by 2100 (which is bedtime Perth time). He slept most of the night without problems....woke with a start around midnight, must have been a bit confused where he was. But did have a sleep in until 0845!
His sleep has been a bit disturbed these past few nights. Last night, he was doing a fair amount of crying and waking. It wasn't taking much to get him back to sleep but enough to ruffle my and my husband's feathers. Plus, getting up to a crying baby in the middle of the night is a bit different in Melbourne than in Perth. The lows in Melbourne are getting down to freezing and in Perth it was probably 8-10. Much warmer!!!
Happy to be home. Nice to be with the family in Perth but nic eto have my own bed and own routine back. Caught up with lots of family that Harrison hadn't met, and that was really nice.
Also had the opportunity to catch up with some Minti Mums! Anon (Karen) and Libby24 (Liz)were unable to make it but bittenbythelovebug (Tracey and hubby Lindsey) and ph419always (Pia) were there. We met up at Playzone (an indoor play center). We were there for about 2 hours but I spent most of that chasing after Harrison. But it was nice to meet some Minti Mum's face to face.
All in all, it was a great trip. My stepdaugher is doing better. Time heals all wounds....as they say.
Well, take care all. |

Hi All, Well I am in Perth and the weather is absolutely gorgeous! I am only here until Sat. Am here comforting my stepdaughter with a broken heart. And also, Harrison gets to meet his uncles, aunt, grandfather, and cousins he hasn't met yet.
The computer I am using is down to dial up speed (oh the tragedy) and I don't have the time or the patience to wait! Therefore, I won't be online all that much. Is easier to sit in the sun reading my magazines while Harrison sleeps!
Our trip over was not the best...well, not true, it was a good trip over, the aftermath wasn't. We were meant to leave Melbourne at 0815 but there was damage to the cargo door and there had to be a full on check of the plane before it could take off again. And that was 3 1/4 hours late. So just as we were meant to landing (nearly) we were taking off.
It was Harrison's nap time as we got on the plane. Needless to say, he didn't sleep. Walked a whole lot around the plane. And lucky cuz it wasn't full and there were lots of open seats so we had a whole row to ourselves. Anyway, about an hour out of Perth, he started to crack it. Poor liitle boy.
Ended up he was up at 0630, slept about 45 min after we got to Perth and went to bed around 2015. Surprisingly, he slept well that night, thank goodness.
And he has pretty much settled into a good routine (knock wood) since then.
So, will be in touch when I can.
Take care all.

Hello, can we stand up and take responsibility for our actions? Don't come and vote my comment down and not explain why. So you disagree...so what. Isn't that what life is all about? Give me a break. |
