well we had our 20 week ultrasound yesterday  everything looked fine  all the measurements are right where they should be for 20 weeks  and she was able to tell w/alot of certianty that is a boy   my husband was joking the other week that if it was a girl mayb we could try again right after this one  i laughed at him  and said if "you carry it" i'm all for it   well i guess he got out of that  haha  the tech was unable to get a clear photo of the lil ones face so she wants to do another one next month  and she said she will double check but she was very confindante  she said "if it is a girl she has 3 legs"  haha  well i'm half way there  we can't wait to meet our "lil guy"  now hubby just needs to come up w/a first name his middle name will be my maiden name  hubby's middle name is his mom's maiden name so i wanted to keep that going  now my daughter ashley wants a baby sister after the baby brother  i told her she is out of luck on that one  haha 

my daugther ashley had a soccer game yesterday, and we finally won a game!!!!!!  i know winning isn't everything, but, it has been about a year since the girls won a game.  she is on a travel team an d we play all over the northern virginia area.  she also got player of the game.  she has been on cloud nine ever since.  it is so good to see her spirits so high she a prema grin.  it was a hard fought game.  tomorrow night at practice it will be parent against the kids and they are all telling us "we are going down"  i won't be playing though being that i am 4 mths preganant  but it will be fun to watch last year when i played they killed us.  just had to brag a little so proud of the girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i just need to vent.....i had to call my OBGYN this morning regarding an issue under my arm i wanted to know do i come in there or do i go to my regular dr  well........simple call right  wrong the recepctionist is the biggest airhead   i tell her why i am calling and that i am 13 wks pg  her first ? is are u pg?  duh   then she asks do i see the midwifes or the dr i say the drs  she puts me on hold to talk to the nurse and gets back on the line and says we will have one of the midwifes call you  WHAT  i ask her why when i see the drs she says no you dont  so i reexplain my self all over again  so now i am waiting for the nurse of one of the drs to call me back  just needed to blow off some steam  i am sitting here wondering how some people get their jobs.............i would chalk it up to her having a bad day also  but this is just one many conversations just like this i have had w/this woman

I received an e-mail from a former co-worker today and thought I would pass on the info in it.  It regards a cure for bee and hornet stings.  This works if you are not allergic to them. 

It says to put a penny on the sting for 15 minutes after you are stung.  My girlfriend was given this advice from her dr after she had bites that got very infected and needed anitbiotic to cure them.  She said later in the week she got stung again and taped a penny over the bite and removed 15 minutes later.  The next morning she couldn't even tell where the sting was.

The dr told her the copper in the penny some how conteracts the bite.  She would not have believed it, but she says it definitely works.

Where I live we have every insect known to man, and some I have never seen before  haha  with spring starting the bees that live underground here are starting to come out.  So I have told my girls about this penny thing and we have a dish on the kitchen counter close to the door and a roll of scotch tape.

Just thought I would pass on this info  Hopes it helps if anyone gets stung.  Let me know if you try it and how it works for you  and I will do the same.
