So I have recently been making cupcakes - for reasons.. and I really quite like making them. I call it emoting via cupcakes.. I get into my own headspace when cooking.. and these are a quick and easy way to cook...

Here are some pictures of my cupcakes that I have made... (from left to right, top to bottom)

Pictures 1& 7- Lemon Ginger with cream cheese frosting and lemon jelly stars..
Pictures 2 & 5 - Nigella Lawson's chocolate birthday cake with ganache and white chocolate
Pictures 3 & 6 - Nigella Lawsons' cherry chocolate cupcakes with ganache and glace cherries
Picture 4 - Oreo cupcakes with vanilla buttercream and crushed oreos.

Okay well this weekend we have been busy... Friday night and Saturday we babysat Jackson  - Scott's brother. He is 15 months old and is growing up so fast  - he walks and runs around as is super cheeky, always blowing kisses and grinning. He is really well behaved and we love having him over. We are using it as practise for when we have kids - and even after one day I can uderstand how much work they can be. Its not just the getting up early (he woke up at 4.50 on Saturday morning) but its constantly watching them and making sure they dont get hurt. It takes alot of energy to do it and I think I am going to have to save up my sleep for our child.

After Janet and Chelsea picked up Jackson in the afternoon we had dinner and then Scott went to a concert with Casey - and after about half an hour I got a call from Scott and he had gotten kicked out of the Rosemount for not having any ID - which is hilarious as Casey wasnt even asked for ID and she is 4 years younger than him :) So I get the call to run around and find his passport - and ran outside to pass it to him while he was driving by in a  taxi.. so that is weird thing number 1 - my poor 25 year old hubby getting kicked out of a pub...

Now the second thing that was weird happened today. We were shopping in the city and I had some icecream and bought a loaf of bread from Woolworths. We then went and bought some cone sushi from Jaws. I ate one piece and and then we went to JBHiFi and walked home. Once we were home I got changed and went to get the sushi - not in the fridge - not in the bag - no where!! I searched everywhere and no luck - the entire bag disappeared! A whole roll of sushi, napkin and soy sauce in a plastic bag is somewhere in the ether - or blackhole of Hay Street as I have now named it.

Apart from that I have some good news on the work front - I got permanent fulltime at work with an RDO each month. So I am really happy about it and looking forward to getting RDO's  - yay!!!

Its Wednesday - hump day.. which is good.. cause I am sick of work this week - I actually like most of my workmate and apart from the occasional internal diatribe that I have they are great... but...

I dont really identify with some people who work with me.. its not that they are horrible or rude its just that I dont understand how they do some things.

For example - I keep on getting given things by a workmate cause she has 'more important' things to do (read :she doesnt like doing certain things so hands them off to me) ... grr... I am not her subordinate... I am a colleague on equal level...

On a completely different note I am going to the gym tonight for the 2nd night in a row... I have a goal of losing 15kg by Xmas which is just under 18 weeks away..so I have to get going and work hard.. and not eat anything that tastes good... like chocolate/cakes/white bread.. everything...

Its is really grey outside... looks like its going to rain.. which is just great as we are walking home...hmm I hope I have an umbrella...

I am at work - its Monday and thank God time is flying - cause once again... I am bored. Its not that my job is bad - actually all the people here are nice (mostly) Its just that its so easy..

On the weekend I went to the hairdressers and got my hair done - and asked to have all the dead hair cut off... well now I have shoulder length hair... it was in bad condition.. and its just hair. The new cut makes me look older - which isnt a bad thing.

I am still trying to find my personal style... I have been having fashion crisis' since I was 15. I started off as a goth and a bit of a grunge and then moved through cute and eclectic and now as I am getting older I am aiming for a classic style. Comfortable without being daggy and chic without being preppy. I swear that once I am down to my goal size 10/12 it will be easier.

Scott and I are also upgrading our health insurance - mainly as part of our 5 year plan... we are planning on starting a family in 2/3 years and have been looking at all the things we need to make sure of prior to trying. Health insurance is a big one of mine... I want the freedom to choose my doctor and my hospital. We have also been looking at names for babies... we have a list of about 5 for each gender...

Apart from all that fun we havent been doing too much. We got a new laptop from Dell - its green and soo pretty and Scott got new glasses - Ted Baker ones.. which are very stylish.

But I suppose its back to work - my lunchbreak is over...
