Hello to everyone!

I am a believer, first and above all things in my life. I am a Believer in Jesus Christ, and do my best to follow him in all my ways. I am also a work in progress. I just try to keep the work progressing. I see too many works in progress where the work isn't progressing!

i am also a child protection worker. I keep babies safe for a living. My favorite part of that is getting to tell people their rights under governement policy. Please remember, I am Canadian, and the system here is different than other countries. I've heard about some of the things going on in Australia, and all I can say is that things are somewhat more consistent, and more fair, here. We still fall short, but the best interest of the child usually prevails. Until recently, I worked for the provincial government for 7 years, so I am well aware of their programs, policies and procedures. I have recently started working with an agency here that provides services to our First Nations people who live on reserve, providing child protection services to treaty children living on reserve. It's pretty cool, and I'm enjoying it immensely. The system is exactly the same as far as legislation and the like goes, only the practice is different. And my is it different!

As for me, I am contentedly single, and have no children. I come on Minti to help, and to keep my perspective as to what good parents look like. I don't believe there are bad parents, just those with painful pasts that effect their presents. If anyone wants to talk to me about something work related, I'm here and I'm willing.
