Re: No luck on the potty today!
I hope he either decides nappy is best for a bit or decides to go for it wholeheartedly on Monday. There's a limit to how long either of you can face so many accidents!
Dont worry if he decides nappies are ok for a bit - my DD1 decided to train on the day we were all about to decorate the lounge. Me & (visiting) Grandma postponed decorating and chased her round all day with the potty - result - something in the potty every time, and something not! The next morning, absolutely no effort at all on her part, so we stopped trying too, and the lounge looks lovely! She got back to trying shortly after but didnt get it fully sussed for another 4 months. But if they dont try to play the game....
IMO potty training is one of the toughest things we do with Preschoolers, so there's no point making it any harder than it needs to be. In the days when our mums & grans had to boil wash terry nappies and line dry them regardless, I can see why they would have done ANYTHING to train a baby fast. But in the days of automatic washing machines, tumble driers and cheap disposable nappies, I thought, why rush?
Hope Monday is fun, which ever way he goes!
